Never had any issues transmission wise with this vehicle. Now im getting a weird 1-2 shift. Does it no matter what. Even if i manually Shift it at a different RPM. IT revs up between the shift. The easiest way i know to explain it is its like driving a stick shift and not letting off the gas pedal when shifting. Any ideas?

How is your racing tune set up?
I found this happening to me when switching from DD to my race tune.
It was me not watching my race page while drag racing.

Per the tuner, nothing has changed between one tune to the next so Idk if its that.

Mine is doing the same thing. Cram more fluid in it

I have a case of fluid, going to cram more in there before next time out. 1-2and 2-3 shift. 2-3 shift just didn’t even happen pedal went dead and engine went to redline

Yes, I have different tunes for DD and another for racing.
So it isn't anything about my Tuner.
It's me.
Sometimes everything is perfect and other times it's not.
Do you have the double tap for custom race mode setting?

Not sure, just overfill it. Won’t hurt anything. All the builders do it

My tuner recommended I overfill it, also. I know mine is probably a bit low because I did a transmission swap and completely drained the cooler

Sorry, reading this tripped one of my triggers...to the ZF engineers: put a F-ING dipstick in these transmissions you idiots!!!! :mad:. Now back to the regularly-scheduled discussion...
Fun fact, a company makes an aftermarket dipstick for the ZF in the bmw (also no factory dispstick) It’s just a tube that screws into the plug and goes up to the firewall. Someone needs to make the same thing for these.

I would take it the dealer if it’s covered under your warranty @Demid22? The ZF8hp70 was doing that in my 2021 5.7 Jeep GC and it got worse to where if you were getting on it, it would completely miss 2nd gear and rev up. They said it was not serviceable and replaced it. The trans came with a new torque converter

Why? unless you have a bad trans or leak it isn't going anywhere
o be able to overfill it easily and fill it easily when you service the transmission.
