Buying another Hellcat

I test drove a F10 M5 (2016) today too. Thought maybe that would be similar to the Hellcat and the suspension might be less stiff than the F80 M3. The suspension was a little softer but I could not believe the amount of road noise in the cabin, maybe due to the pilot super sports that were on it.

The other thing I couldn't get over was how, everytime I hit a bump or crack in the road, something in the interior would rattle. Sometimes multiple things. How does that happen in a car that orginially MSRP @ $125k and is only 4-5 years old?

The power was pretty nice though. The DCT is weird though, I actually like the ZF auto in the Hellcat better.

I would take a look at them but they're all $80k plus. I just can't bring myself to spend that much on a car right now. Kids, investments, and house remodeling are keeping me to a $50k-ish budget.

This is my favorite combo on a Charger - Billet silver, black rims, red calipers. Looks very clean but it's a NJ car and priced a little high still in my opinion.

Ha yep! I misread that initially due to the consumption of some delicious beverages haha.

I'm actually not a fan of the snorkel look.

Sure the road noise isn't being played in the cabin by the stereo? If they'll play the exhaust why not other things.

Yes this is true, an f90 is what I would imagine the hellcat would be with awd minus the luxury.

I'm cross shopping them both for leasing atm. I can always transfer a bmw lease and pick up a hellcat later.

Look into the m550, a lot cheaper, only 500 hp tho. Downpipes and tune probably bring you to 600 hp.

That car does 0-60 in 3.8.

Really though to be honest car market is nuts now, I would wait for everything to stabilize.

I agree on the market. Just doing my research right now and keeping my eye on it so I'm ready to capitalize on a good deal.

Also, I'm selling my BMW 335i Xdrive to capitalize on the market and have a great offer from Carvana. So the inflation is a bit negligible for me, though some cars are still priced at what the market was doing this summer.

I drove an M550i Xdrive today. Really nice. Very comfortable and still quick. Would be a great touring car. Every time I look at the price though I think "well for just a little more..." haha.

I think the Ebay Hellcat link above is a scammer or something. The car is not listed for sale anywhere else i can find and the seller is not responding to messages. The pictures are obviously not representive of NJ this time of year haha. They almost look like pics of a brand new car.

I sold my BMW 335i Xdrive and bought a newer BMW 540i. Most of you already know that though. It's not taking up the spot in my garage for a Hellcat though. It's just better suited for putting a million miles on while I look for my next Hellcat. And it has a HUD.

Honestly, I look everyday locally for Hellcats but my enthusiasm right now is dying a bit. Not much has been changing in the market and it seems to just be stale to me. Still looking for "the one". If I find it, I'll buy it.

I've also been looking at purchasing a vacation/investment property lately but I don't think that is going to happen based on inventory on the market in the area we are looking.

To be honest, I was really trying to drop down to 2 cars but it just doesn't make sense based on what I need right, so I will go back to 3.

The good news is, the BMW has 4 doors, so now I now I can start looking for 2 door Hellcats again instead of 4 door cars...

Hellcats are not going to go down in price. The merger just killed the future of the Hellcat and once the general public understands this the HC just became more expensive. IMO the timing on getting the so called deal is narrowing each day.
