This was an excellent video about making wire harnesses. Nothing wrong with a “Painless” harness if that’s what you’re after, they basically have the market in universal harnesses. Rob (in the video) took it several steps further, but a “level 4” harness would have really been the icing on the cake. The mil-spec harnesses are truly beautiful and costly, but they’re not for everyone. Next year I’ll have to make another harness for my motorcycle when I convert it from a. SBC to an LS4… and it’ll be on par with what Rob has done below.
Likewise, I have made/repaired many harnesses...did a few custom ones. If you have a plan and allow for a few extras, things always seem to work out..don't know how many times have a couple of "extra" wires run have saved my ass!
I did one years ago that required 50 or 60 soldered connections. That one was a bit tricky being OCD and laying basically in the engine bay to do the work LOL.
It won’t be long now and we’ll have some progress pics. I have a new shop I’m working with that you could say is….. enthusiastic about working with my car. The question of tuning this monster with the new Holley Dominator came up. They say don’t worry, we got it covered and just bought this…..
So…. I went to the races. The Redlist Series event in Bakersfield, CA. I won the Hellcat King title there one year ago and had hoped to repeat that again. My car was supposed to be ready but…. It is now under Covid Lockdown as the Rona struck the shop. I took the long ride from Utah to Bakersfield with the Spankintime B5 Redeye to help. It was the fastest Hellcat there and ran a 8.42 with lots of room for improvement. So I’m doing my thing (got to talk to Ron/Dragrcer) and others. But….. I wasn’t feeling all that good and started experiencing some chest pain with all the walking around. I wasn’t about to go to the hospital in craphole Bakersfield so I held off and did the all night ride home with Brian back to St George where I went to the ER. I’m writing this from my hospital bed after having 9 Coronary Artery Stints placed yesterday. It turned out that I was at the entry phase of a full blown heart attack. Anyway…. All’s good now and I’m looking forward to a full recovery with my “new” heart. Now if I can just get my damn car back 😐

HOLY COW! Man I'm glad you're on the mend but I'd say lucky! I've heard too many horror stories about people thinking chest pain is indigestion or something.
