I know. Easier said than done. We’re building a motor that is going to get us there for sure. Dart block 10.5 comp 413. Still deciding on the heads. Full race Thitek or the new AFR’s. Getting the new 3.8 Whipple lined up and are shooting for the 1700+ hp ballpark without nitrous. That will put us at 2000 if “necessary”. 😂

Don’t get me wrong, Marc will run 7s, but it’s basically a new car at this point, they’re gonna have some road ahead of them to iron it all out.
For years Z has been chipping away, he didn’t just show up and run the number (I know you know that).

So…. 10 days of my life have been consumed in a non stop blur 😵💫. I was enrolled in the stage 1 and 2 classes of the Holley EFI Tuning program. These are held at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green KY. These are very limited and sought after courses and I’ve been on the waiting list for a while now trying to get the combo class to attend with my buddy Jim Golden of Redeye Racing. I got the call that I was in if I could make it and I took it. With all the flights being last minute cancelled across the county, I decided to take the long drive to make sure I got there in time. It’s 1800 miles from here to there 😳. So I got a rental car and beat the hell out of it over the Rockies and across the plains. Now I’m back getting kisses from my dog (He was pretty sure I had died).
More parts 😵💫. We’re in staging to get this thing finished and ready to race MATS at Las Vegas in March. Still a pile of stuff left to be installed but …. It’s the cool stuff. Going with two Holley Digital Dash setups for a full array of info visible full time. The RPM related functions will be running thru a Dedenbear RPM Switch and the shifter and both ends of the chute will be air. Included is the trick Motion Raceworks pneumatic chute release handle activated with a button on the steering wheel. 🤗
The new super light Strange front brakes I decided to go with are not available in the 115mm lug circle that we suffer with, so to do it right I had to replace my front wheels with the common 4.5” pattern instead. I was planning on staying with the 18” Billet Specialties Winlites but… 10 to 12 weeks out on a new set of those. Surprisingly… they had the Comp 7 race versions in stock in the 17” size. This is a super light race only wheel that looks like the Winlite but only weighs 10 lbs. They are absolute jewels! Combined with the M/T ET Frontrunners the total weight of the wheel/tire combination is only 22 lbs. That is less than just the M/T Sportsman tire I’ve been running. Changing over to the DragPak brake combination with these wheels and tires will pull nearly 100 lbs of un-sprung weight out of the front. 👊
Thanks. I think they will really look hot with the Strange DragPak brakes behind them. The rolling weight that will be coming out of the car will show up on the time slip.

Sucks to have to buy all new wheels but the speed you are going probably not a bad idea. I'm not going your speed but would have still had an issue with the wrong bolt pattern even that close.

Marc, I wonder what Strange says about using that front brake setup on a car that is 4000lbs with driver? I have that setup but not sure how well it would work on my car being that heavy still.
