Guess it's better late than never. I've been hesitant to mess up the on road manners, but several of you guys convinced me to take the plunge. Install was easy, but getting up and down off the concrete not so much

Update - First drive.

Dude, the next day I was like WTH is up with this. It also seemed like every time I got laid down on the floor I had somehow managed to grab the wrong socket and had to get back up and go to the workbench for the right one and do it all over again

I noticed doing 1 bolt at a time it drops enough to get the ring in at the top. My lockouts didn't have the ring but there was enough of a gap I could have put them in. I also didn't unbolt the shocks. A tip if you ever have to unbolt the shocks again, unbolt from the lower control arm. The tabs were not bad to pry off it is all in the angle. I talked to Darrel after doing mine and he said he used a crescent wrench to pry them off. Per my write up I loosened the bolt but didn't take it out when prying

I had to drill my limiter plates out as well, but wasn't too hard, as noted, with a new bit. All in all a pretty simple job, just a bit time consuming. I did it before I had the Quick Jack, so getting the car up and down took longer than necessary. Greased my rings to ease installation and minimize any noise as well. Nice kit for sure. Love to do the diff lock out next. We'll see. No increase in NVH for me.

My limiter plates didn't wanna just pry loose. I tried a couple different pry bars up to the biggest one I have. Maybe I wasn't getting it in the magic spot but I started to worry it was gonna tear up the bushing it was stretching the center so much. Drilling took 5 minutes and the bits are like $8 so not a big deal. Just go slow the gas tank is back there after all ;)

You can remove the lower shock bolt instead of the upper ones. The issue there is that to re-tighten it the car has to be at ride height and suspension loaded with the weight of the car to get it properly torqued. Those bolts are hard to get to with the tires on and the car on the ground so the top shock bolts are how most everyone does it.

Whatever you do, don't follow BMR's instructions. They have you take half the car apart.

Dunno if it means anything but, I don't have the diff lock out on my Hellcat, just the DIRS front and rear brace from Performance Development.

Every time I’m on the floor under the car it’s just so peaceful I start feeling like I want to take a nap. What’s this deal with cradle lockouts? 😝 B760FDE7-B8F4-4056-AE7A-C82A25B3453A.jpeg

by loosening the bolt and not removing it, the bushing doesn't flex as much

I’m old ok 😂 heck my cradle lockout was easy. Darrel had it done by the time I was done talking to Craig

Ive got the DIRS as well, front race brace too. Just looking to keep the car together, got both parts used and on the cheap!
