Scales are definitely your friend on setting these cars up. Checking the ride height with you in the car after a weekend at the track will also tell you if anything changed. When we were running the USMTS series we put car on the scales, checked ride height and front end settinhs after every race weekend to make sure nothing moved or got bent.

So…. Anybody else waiting on parts? 😐. Right now it takes about a year to build a motor if you’re going with the good stuff. We’re building a ‘Right Stuff’ 401ci bullet and just about all the stuff is here! The pistons came in last week. 4.125 bore 11:1 CP-Carrillo. They go out for coating this week. 🤩. In addition to that……. The real OMG just happened yesterday. I paid for my 3.8L Whipple (only 11 in existence 😳) and it will be ready within the next two weeks.

Thanks. Yes that is what happened. I wanted to take the car to another level and he wasn't interested. The Holley EFI setup that replaces all of the OE electronics isn't something that is easy to do. It's actually much more than I imagined. As it happens... the person I'm working with now is one of the few with experience at this level and the shop is only 30 minutes from my house. As you can see.... the work that's been done is beautiful. High hopes for the coming year.

Been fiddling with the digital dash setups. What a hoot! Absolutely amazing what you can do with these things. I originally was going to just use the small 6” screen to display some gauges. Then I saw the big screen on Bryan’s (the blue car) and went… holy smokes! I already had the small one so I ended up with both. That turns out not to be a bad thing. If one of them has a glitch, then I still have a back up with the critical stuff working. While I still have the scary skull screen if I want to just omg people…. Here’s the setup that I’ll end up using. Everything right there and visible through the steering wheel without having to move. The speedo in the center display is GPS and it will be fun to do a GoPro video of that on a pass. Ever watch a speedo go from 0 to 170 mph in 7 seconds? Me either 😂

You got it 🙂. Driveshaft speed tells the ECU how fast the wheels are spinning in relation to how fast the car is moving so it can manage traction control. Acceleration will be monitored by a G-meter sensor.
