Not that big of a deal. I guess I got a defective one, that or my car just doesn't like it.

Saw that one on amazon, might go with it or metco. Unless lethal can replace the upr with one that fits, otherwise i'll just req a refund.

I’ve tried a few brands and the best in my opinion is the UPR remote fender mount unit with check valve. It catches EVERYTHING, my blower, intake valves, piston tops, and spark plugs stay spotless. Here’s as picture just a month or so back when I had the heads off to replace head gaskets and upgrade the studs to stronger custom age 625 studs at almost 5000 miles, of running on E85. A good catch can is your friend.

Funny but pretty close to true lol. Actually I check my catch can after every drive lol. “It is the only way to be sure” I didn’t hurt something as my car see’s at the very least a 60-130+ run every time it’s out.
I’ll hoping to be swapping g back to the Whipple this weekend and did have thoughts of pulling a plug per cylinder, taking a peak in each with the scope, and doing yet another leak down test but I just told myself this morning Mike just change the blower for Christ’s sake lol, you just did all that not even 100 miles ago lol.
I just dumped the PUP 0W40 start up oil last week after head gasket and stud change, oil that probably didn’t have 100 miles on it because I wondered what the antifreeze contamination level may be like in it and didn’t want to keep running it as I have been waiting on a oil sample report to return asking such about the oil to only get the report 2-3 hours after I was done saying the oil was perfect ok to continue running it as it didn’t even have a measurable trace of coolant in it. How many shops take that much care during a head gasket change to not get a drop of coolant in the oil system?? Yes, I’m anal lol but you have to be at these kinds of power levels.

This was not an easy 56 miles lol, probably 20 or so 60-130 runs in that 56 miles lol.

PS, the oil in prior tests is Amsoil 5W50 Signature Synthetic, additive package differences between it and the PUP can be seen in the report, it’s back on the Amsoil 5W 50 again now, I just used the PUP for start up oil because it was cheaper and I had it around.

I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone as thorough as you, definitely not a bad thing. Sometimes you just have to know everything is running at 100%. But also, sometimes ya just have to send it lol. Glad you’re getting the whipple bsck on there! Can’t wait to see what she does, hopefully this revision has all of the issues worked out

Awesome all the way around. And while not at that power level my HC also got several high speed runs in nearly everytime it was started. Why own it and not use it.

Seriously though, you pressurize the crank case oil will find into way into the supercharger or worse bleed through the supercharger gasket from the oil fill ports on the heads (leftover from the 6.4) and you’ll push oil right into your intake ports

The grooves are tapered on the cap so are the notches in the oil fill tube. You can see where I’ve been pushing down and twisting pretty freaking hard by hand. No luck. Not trying to use a hammer and wrench to get my oil cap on and off lol.

You should’ve bought a Metco.

UPR breather is the best hands down, even has a check ball only cents when under pressure

What’s wrong with Metco’s? It has flat black disc that only moves up to release pressure. And fits perfectly

It’s really tall, not low profile. I really like UPR products, guess I’m kind of biased. The quality on them is unmatched, especially with their catch cans

Mine is half the height of the UPR that @ACMAVRO posted a page back

That one looks tall.

Maybe they changed the design.

It seems to work OK for me. I don't have high expectations. It relieves pressure.

Metco breather here too - no issues I can see. I have a catch can on driver's side that has been dry as a bone since Day 1 and will be coming off next time I'm in the area.

My catch can might have a couple of drops in it at each oil change which happens very frequently.
