2023 Challenger Hellcat Redeye Jailbreak Narrowbod
#1
Hello. I'm new to the forum and hoping someone can direct me to where I can find the number in which my car was manufactured. I've got a 2023 Narrow body Hellcat Challenger Redeye Jailbreak and I understand that for the model year 2023 only 29 of them were manufactured. At this point all I know is that my car was manufactured in Canada but since there may only be 28 other cars like mine, I'd be interested in knowing where in the manufacturing lineup my car was. Can anybody advise.
Thanks.

The WB just looks soooo much better.... Im sure in 30 years it will be a collector tho and probably worth $300k.

Hard to believe it is only 29, I think my local dealer had at least 5 "regular body" 2023 redeyes come through last year, 2 of which at the very end of the year that they did not think they would get. They were priced in the lower $90k range, that what you paid?

That was the original allocated number. Turns out 175 or so were actually built. There is a thread on the lizard site documenting numbers of each trim built.

Yeah the Wide-body is definitely a good look but almost looks like a different model altogether. I guess time will tell what the appreciated value will be, hopefully good. They sure made a bunch of them. I'm guessing you have one?
I opted for the narrow body because I have a 1970 R/T with a 426 in showroom condition and wanted to have the first model year and the last model year look similar.

Yes that's the range that I paid. I got the 29 figure from a Hot Rod (Motortrend) weekly email I get. No telling how accurate it is but I was surprised to read that. All the more reason that I've joined the forum to help get some better clarity on this issue and perhaps find out what number my car is in the manufacturing line up.

I think the distinction Motortrend was making was between the Redeye and the Redeye Jailbreak which is what I have.

I tried to find out the same info on my car. I was told that only the Demon builds could be tracked in order. You can however, email dodge with your VIN and ask for the production info on your car. They will tell you things like the date it was built, and its "one of number" which you already know.

Below is what I got back from Dodge. The build trees that PLUMCRAZY used to do were much more informative as according to his much more detailed report my car is actually a 1 of 2 identical cars built. Where as Dodge says one of 22, because they don't account for options like a block heater or summer tires and so on. One better is the factory tracking data I got from R/S back in the day. I could tell you exactly when my car was in framing, when it was in paint and so on. Don't think many guys got that report from him back then.

VIN: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Vehicle Assembly Date: 10/20/2016, 11:00 AM
Mfg: Brampton Assembly Plant, Ontario, Canada

According to our records, there were 22 Dodge Challenger (RWD) SRT Hellcat units built in Destroyer Grey Clear Coat paint which were equipped with Black Hellcat Logo Laguna Leather Seats, Brembo 6-Pot Fixed Front Caliper Brakes, 8-Speed Auto HP90 Transmission, 6.2L Supercharged HEMI V8 SRT Engine,
High Intensity Discharge Headlamps, 18 Speakers Premium Audio System, Uconnect 4C NAV with 8.4" Display, Red Brake Calipers, and 20X9.5 Brass Monkey SRT Forged Wheels for the 2017 model year.

Sincerely,

Marvin, Dodge Customer Support

I’m not sure where the “narrow” body stupidity started (likely by some GenZ mouthbreathing social media “influencer”, so there’s the company all the “narrow body” folks keep) but there’s not a single official Dodge document, brochure, window sticker, build sheet, etc. that refers to a standard body as “narrow”; only widebodies are differentiated…

Facts/accuracy matter…for some folks I guess…😈

In all fairness, there isn't a widebody, either. Just a regular Challenger with dually fenders tacked on.

As I recall, the powers that be shut him down or at least told him he could not 'sell' the info like he was !

That makes sense .....

The 70 R/T is a friends car but understand your point.
