Oops, forgot to answer the part about being ashamed.

Since I know the local tow truck driver, who makes good money rescuing people that overestimated their EV's capabilities and got stranded around here, it would be quite embarrassing to have to call him when running out of electrons.

Of course, I could leave a trailer with a winch hooked up and call my girlfriend to come get me.

If there's cell service where the EV croaks.

Not just the finest steak...the food is over the top....the service ..impecable (does not hire women servers)...never had a bad meal ever...or a better steak anywhere...The owner is 90..in the rest. EVERYDAY,,a true patriot as well...the veterans memorial on the grounds is nothing short of amazing...google it...Russells Steak House

Friend loved to drive his Corvair on snow covered lawns/fields! Then I went to college and all the guys with VW's did the same thing! (The only homies that drove bugs were young women, usually very attractive young women!)

Bought a new 2004 Dodge Neon as a DD with a 5 speed. Kept it for 10 yrs and 160,000 miles and never had any issues other than having to replace a cam position sensor. Averaged over 33 mpg and never burned any oil. Hard to believe as I know POS is usually used in the same sentence as Neon. 😂

Of all things, the TRX. Keep in mind that I don't like 1/2-tons and don't care for how the new ones look, but...

After trailering my girlfriend's home and looking at the hardware underneath I was very impressed. A-arms and such looked like they belonged on a 3/4 or 1-ton. Everything was much beefier than I had expected, so I ordered one, too.

It was supposed to be a vehicle capable of going somewhere during or after a snowstorm, even if the county plows were absent or overwhelmed (at least that's how I rationalized buying it), but it has grown on me. It's a fun car to drive even when the sun is shining on dry roads.

The TRX has been the ultimate daily driver for me. I don’t need a 3/4 ton in my life, and the TRX pulls our pontoon boat just fine twice a year. Just did an 1,800 mile trip to Eastern Montana and back for a week long hunting trip. The only thing the TRX doesn’t do great is the fuel economy, which we all know. I’m just shy of 38,000 miles on the truck right now, and can’t imagine what I’d replace it with.

As far as vehicles I don’t like, pretty much every EV makes the list. That said, the new Scout might be interesting.

Time will tell on the new Scout. The Harvester model with a gas range extender might have promise.
