9.50 = meh (on what amounts to a wheel/tire swap from stock)

Gotta have some perspective, imo. This is an ABSURD ET for a car you can easily drive on the street without the neighbors calling the cops on you.

We have become WAY too spoiled. I guarantee you "meh" won't be what most will say when we look back a decade from now at the PINNACLE of ALL-ICE drag dominance...

MANY on here and elsewhere said to give it time to see that record break...90%+ Demons were delivered after January of 2018....that meant no experience and no good weather. Not a good combo to light up the ET record books, especially when Dodge had 1K+ runs before they got their 9.65 (with a 125lb driver).

Of course, dialing in records would have to take some time. Plus how many of the 3300 are actually racing? 5%? So now this is the "second Demon winter" and guys like Tim and Ron (and a handful of others) are -now- DIALED IN....1000 runs or more?

THAT'S why it's happening now...(vs day one off the showroom floor, which is what I guess some people unrealistically expected?)

Ha! I remember a million years ago (early 90s) when the fastest street car in town was a mid 10-sec 69 Camaro. Tubs, ladder bars on a 9", 468 with fat overlap cam and a TH400, huge stall, and a plate kit. Here's a car that will run away and hide from that Camaro with A/C, much quieter, no spitting and sputtering at part throttle and all that jazz.

This new golden age of performance is glorious.
