PPF Help

I scraped my front splitter for the first time. It’s ok. But the PPF came off just a little. Can and how do I fix this myself? I don’t feel like taking it back to my detailer.

You know how to PPF ? They use squeegees and soapy water (I think). I’ll check YouTube. I Just thought I’d ask over here first.

Not sure...but once the initial adhesion is compromised.. I don't think it's an easy fix...but again..I'm not sure..

You can try to fix it but I’m pretty sure it will end up looking like $14.95 Walmart window tint after a year!

The PPF installers use some sort of enhanced adhesive for problem areas that don't stick that is compatible with the PPF and not the normal soap and water they use to install it. Bring it back to them and have them make the repair. You'll be much happier if you do.

Ok. I only have a week left. They said the first 30 days it’s common for some PPF areas to come off the paint. No biggie. I already went back once for them to fix a few areas. I’m going to a different detailer next time if I don’t do it myself. I mean ceramic coat.

If you're talking about the bottom edge of the splitter, and you have the typical "hair" hanging off from like a curb/gutter, it easily trims off with a sharp utility knife (which obviously doesn't fix the film, but does make the splitter look better)

I can’t believe I scraped my splitter for the first time last night since I bought the car almost 4 months ago. 1200 miles. Just have some personal problems on my mind lately. Oh well. It’s not bad.

I love the car. It’s awesome. And the blower whine is super Fine!!
And it’s Boost weather. It’s running like a Bad Mother F’kr lol

Actually, I’m not 100% sure when I scraped the splitter messed up that small area PPF Coming off.

The splitter scrape looks fresh because it just happened. I’m sure they’ll notice. Hopefully not. Lol.

Look at the scrape I circled. What can I put on there so they won’t notice?
