I seem to have more wear on the inner side of the tires.
Is this something that is an easy adjustment that I can do?
A warranty issue maybe? IMG_3127.JPG
P-zero's seem to be doing it also but they are more difficult to measure

Check your alignment?

Are you bone stock? Any suspension mods?

Not warranty in my opinion, unless there is something physically out of spec about stock rear suspension geometry. If you're getting on it and those DRs are non-stock sizes that change in size can cause changes in the way suspension plants them under WOT / max acceleration (and that can alter the wear pattern). If there are already suspension mods, that can of course effect it as well.

Bone stock. Not even a foot print gas pedal.
If it's squatting upon acceleration I can see how this is happening.
Mostly run sport and sometimes track mode.

That why I hate independent rear suspension.

While I agree it's not perfect, that wear does look normal for our cars and really isn't tht bad IMO. Could do some mods to try to correct that, may be worth it though.

Mine wore exactly the same, it’s the way the DIRS is set up from the factory, it’s aligned for correct wear normal driving not 1/4 mile at a time lol
I bought BMR adjustable arms to correct it, it’s the only solution I was told

The stock rear suspension has negative camber . That will wear the inside of the tire.

Here is a pic of my last alignment.

@Hpindy I’ve been holding off installing the BMR parts I have looking for a good alignment targets, I can’t make out the numbers in picture you posted, you have anything clearer?

This was a "stock" alignment. I'm going for +.5 degrees of camber on ther rear with as close to zero toe I can get . Front will be stock for now .

This alignment took adjustable four corners by AAD, plus the BMR rear toe adjustable items. It ran a 3.3 second 0-60 and 11 sec flat on the street with street tires. It don't flipping hop anymore either. It feels out of this world to drive now, big difference from stock.

Me too. I remember reading all the praise for getting out of the old ages when cars started going to IRS. I am as big a fan of FWD. :poop:

For the street yes, and it is great I think! Hard to say where the factory was because we did not get any readings until he changed out all the rear arms and the front top adjustable. We can adjust the front toe, but I am not screwing with it or the caster.

He experimented with the AAD tabs FYI, (damn cost me about four labor hours in alignment). He tells me that every tab change increment seems like about 1/2 of a degree. I am going to acknowledge the more firm sway bars/strut connector and bushings help the artificial roll of camber in turns and probably start the track set-up at more negative by 1/2 degree, then take some tire temps down on that short Hallet track next weekend before I dial more negative in. Like everyone says the drag racers may try it positive from here 1/2-1 degree. But I am not even going to start down that path, because the drag racers on here really know their stuff.

Thank you for all the details. I’m looking for what would be best for from a dig and quarter-mile drag racing alignment, I heard the same +.5 to 1° positive. I’d like to get before and after alignment data but unlike knowing someone with a dino I do not know someone with a good alignment machine but I can inquire what the cost would be just to see where it’s at now and then do changes in the future after I swap out the three BMR pieces

If it was mine, after checking/setting alignment, I would swap tires to the opposite side. It would require remounting both tires to keep directional correct.

It’s more about even contact patch to get the power to the ground then uneven wear, the uneven wear is just showing an uneven weight distribution across the tire face, it’s like running a 12” wide tire but only getting 8-9” of grip out of them.

P-zero's seem to be doing it also but they are more difficult to measure

Here is a good drag setup for a challenger and charger,a little toe in in rear is good when car launches wheels will move foward and toe goes to 0,on a demon you want camber close to zero the rear shocks are almost locked and it does not squat much in drag mode.when a driver sits in this car its .5 on both sides.

Another thing to consider. If you run 30+ psi in these they will wear fast. I always run my daily setup, which is drag radials at 25 psi. Even wear.

This is the thread I got the picture from I posted a bit ago, Marc I’ve been looking for thread you first posted this in to confirm it was the numbers I was looking for, I knew eventually you’d come across a alignment thread and post again, THANK YOU!!
