There is an actual battery storage mode built into the car’s electrical system. It will prevent your cars electronics from draining the battery.

I'm saying that function didn't seem to do anything on my car & the slow drain from the car killed the battery.
Since the OE battery was replaced I have used a C-teck when the car sits for more than 5 days and have not had an issue since.
On average, she gets out about once every 10 days & sometimes sits for weeks on end in summer when it's raining a lot.

Is this function in the manual anywhere ? Don't see any reference other then the battery saver thing that kills the interior lights if you leave the door open and some obscure reference to fuse #35 (Battery Sensor). No explanation what that sensor is for tho ..........

So when you go into the battery health check screen, pressed the ok button. When that’s done you will have to start the car with key as all the electronics will be shut down. My 2019 has this feature . My 2015 does not have this feature so I assume your 2016 does not.

Interesting, I will see if the DSRT has this before I take it back next week. When you say you need to start it with 'key' do you mean pressing the FOB to the start button ??

You will need the key to open the door and start the car as I understand it. The metal key inside the FOB.

Without a tender, the Charger will flatten the battery, after it sits awhile. 2018. It's on battery #5.

Found it in the DSRT manual, says pulling on the DS door handle will reactivate the electronics & enable the FOB.

You may want to search your manual, found this under Maintenance, Vehicle Storage for the DSRT. Says it extends time between starts to 60 days !!

I’ve had my light weight Arc Angel battery for 7 years and still going strong.

I don't know who else does this. I annually perform desulfation on my batteries. This increases the longevity of the batteries considerably. It's a process that takes roughly 24 hours. I removes the crystalline buildup on the lead plates and puts it back into the acid solution

It was the burnbox that killed those batteries. The cool down mode would run until there was no more power left.

Car would always heat sink and was difficult to cool down. Tuning it fixed the problem.

2016 HC and 2017 PW do not, 2019 DSRT does.
My understanding is that it did exist on the 15-16-17. during shipping. but once deactivated at the dealer you could not reset it. It was a factory protection.
