Actually, turns out I used some Lubegard 42851 LS additive, not Mopar.

I'm a fan of overkill so I use the Amsoil severe gear with an added friction modifier.

I change yearly or every 3rd oil change for me.

It's cheaper than a Diff. I don't wanna buy a new one. Lol.

We put together tight as possible 8.8 ford rears and had no chatter. The clutch kits were $50 with shims. Wish we had that for our cars. Plus you don't have to drop it out to change them

FYI 2015-2017 diff fluid TSB, to resolve groaning noise, from diff during slow speed turning ops.

It appears some early builds did not get the correct oil. The TSB addresses that by changing the oil, with a different part number.

Brand for me depends on use of vehicle, committing to changing x number of miles for that usage, etc. Redline has always been a good choice for me when I can find it. I think the words out on it being a solid product in my area, so not always readily available. I also use Valvoline in the bag as well for my vehicles I change on or before recommended schedule. Haven't had a diff go out with either brand. Honestly, if you use the right one, a name brand, and change often enough for DD it probably doesn't matter for most. Changing it on or before needed is key though.
