A WTF moment!

Went and got the Hellcat from the shop today and they are doing road construction and I ran over something and every time I hit a bump I was getting a scraping sound. I wemt by the carwash to wash the car off and found this.

My insurance company is going to love me, just put my 19 Ram 2500 in the shop yesterday after a deer ran into the side of it and now this.

Glad to hear you didn't get hurt...years back there was a story of rebar running thru the floorboard and killing someone.

Thankfully I was by myself and It did not come up in the rear passenger side floorboard.

Got it pulled out, 18 inches long. I have not pulled the rear seat delete to see if it came out under there. It was close to the fuel tank and did not get it so that is good.

Go back to the construction company and ask to make a claim. If that don’t work and it is a State job on the road, contact the State.

It is a TXDOT job, they are installing an over pass but it could have fallen off of any one of “Juan’s” trailers that running around here. I will just file it on my comprehensive coverage and pay the $95.00 deductible. Sucks but could have been a lot worse.

i was just washing it off with the wand to get the dust and grime off before it goes to the detailer on monday. It never sees an automated car wash or brush, lol!

Ran over a young possum 2 weeks ago.
Middle of the road, 2 am, had its hind end towards me. Only had time to swerve to center it.
Pulled into a station expecting it to be embedded into my lower grill, or pancaked into the adaptive cruise radar.
Nothing.
Heard and felt the hit, but the air DAM must have rolled it under the car.
Guess it's a possum dam?
