Brand New 5.0 Mustang

All I've been hearing is how fast the new 5.0 Mustangs are. I had one jump me coming from my CPA office today. We were at about 70mph when we hit it. My stock Redeye walked away from him like he was tied to a stump. I waited for him and let him hit it and get a 1/2 car before I hit her WOT. Somehow he got tied to that stump again. Fast my ass. They just make a lot of noise.

I'd suggest being VERY careful racing any Mustang on the street because, well.. they do run over stuff. lol

My 18 5.0 10 spd is tuned with minor mods. It would give a stock hellcat a hard time. It also on e85 though lol, two different worlds for sure.

The reason people “rave” about the new mustangs is because you can do a flex fuel e85 tune and headers and make just about 500rwhp. The 10 speeds supposed to be pretty nice. With drag suspension from Steeda and stop the hop kits and other supporting mods some have seen 10.8 or 10.9 in the quarter with obvious perfect conditions. If you want to run any faster than that it gets expensive. Where if we want our hellcats to run low 10s or mid 9s it’s pretty inexpensive. That’s a hellcat not even a redeye. O and guess what our cars hold their value 😜

If you ~really~ want to look at vehicles (technically not ‘cars’), examine:

1) any HD turbo diesel pickup from any of the big 3
2) Jeep wrangler

They also drop..... just slightly less than average.

But I digress..... 😬 All in fun.

I couldn't tell you what a new 5.0 retails for these days...but dumping 10 grand into a new car to make it run like a HC...is not something I would consider...

Ran into a Camaro that was professionally built full bolt on and E85 and he put up a good scrap, but I'm just stock, was on the debris filled side of the road, and gave him the hit.
