Will a LMI filter and CF tube fit in a JLT Air box?

I think it might with some adjustments. I don’t think with the lmi rain shield though? I don’t normally drive in rain but I have been caught in a few thunderstorms where I’m glad I had that. I didn’t like the jlt one that covered the heat extractor almost completely.

With the box,does that de feet the reason for the most air? I even took the air plate on the hood ait intake off. Not a problem with the rain. Using a K & N set up.

It worked and is easy to remove. I think the biggest thing is blocking it from the engine. Also when the fan comes on it blows all the hot air at it.
@16GoManGoHC2 has been working on something to block the heat

Here is the response in reference to them offering a heat shield..
"No, as I have found they have no real discernable impact on overall performance. With the Hellcats, airflow has a bigger impact on performance."

@jonx96 can tell you doing the burnout and going to the starting line was showing some high temps and if the fan came on it was even higher blowing the hot air towards it

I know, I think the answer was silly. Hot air isn't going to make more power

ya. I even made my first pass two passes on the lmi which should have given it the advantage. The third I only gave it 15 minutes while I put the stock on and went back up there. Picked up like .2 and 2 or 3 mph. Iat where crazy high with the lmi by the time I did my burnout and staged it was game over for me. I really wanted to keep the lmi as I loved the sound but I just didn’t want to keep switching back and forth from street to drag strip.
I think the lmi guy sells enough to keep him busy and he isn’t worried about improvement until business slows down.

I'm sure there's some truth to that...but in my case the IAT1 is so high it spends more time in orbit than Elon. No KR from any source according to HPT but I'm sure it is not commanding full timing and it always seems to short shift out of first unless I manually hold it.

Still went high 9's full weight on mid 1.5 60's so screw it.

Need to condition the air before it is induced. Up at 4 am just thinking about this,,, yea. Don't sleep but 3 hours at atime, But. A product is out Forced Induction Interchiller that has a video on UTube that could be the answer. For $1,600 is not bad. Take a look cause changing CAI is not the answer. Like said before the air is the air and the CAI is not going to change that dramatically. It need to be tempered before combustion. I looked at the video and it had 80 degree intake and took it to 59. I am sure it can be modified to do better. Works off the a/c without interuption to the cabin. Exactly what I an doing with mine. Shop I have it in now does not understand so off to the high performance shop.
