I had a conversation with someone @ a vendor that was going to supply the tuning software and devices for said kits as brought up earlier in this thread and these kits are not passing CARB you also have to realize that carb requirements get stricter every couple of years. For example, the 2018 standards used to certify the demon was for 2018 ym cars we are in 2023, and due to CA increased emissions, it will be harder to get a high hp car in compliance. The Stock Cats had/have problems passing emissions in the people's republic of CA. And Mopar declined when Marchioni died and it was sold to Selantis.

As much as these kits leave a lot on the table power-wise, I was looking forward to have a "power dealer" add them to my Challenger so I'd have an additional kick in the pants and still be covered by warranty. If it doesn't come to pass, which it doesn't look like there's any chance of that whatsoever, oh well, the aftermarket/vendors have already answered the call and can make plenty of power for less money...

I figure the PR of CA is a big market, but I fail to understand why Mopar just tells them F-U and makes them no sale in CA and whoever else follows their BS. The rest of the 40+ states would result in almighty dollar sales that I figure they would be interested in.

I think that that's an excuse. I'd be more inclined that the top Europeans pulled the plug.

It's like the lab leak "conspiracy theory" (a term, not so coincidentally, coined by the See-Eye-A to discredit those telling an inconvenient truth, but anyway...)..."we may never know". The fuck we won't; they killed it and blaming a government agency with one hand while taking EV/green woke bullshit money/carbon offset credits/whatever the fuck with the other should tell you everything you need to know...

They look like a company that survives on taxpayer money. I'm sure that it's a higher margin than actually building cars.

Quotes that I've seen are $3,200 installed by Dodge. Parts are MSRP @ $2390 and about $800 in labor (3-4 hours). No markups. Availability is mid-April.
