Stellantis will be fine. With the Hellcat dead and only electric cars coming, Dodge will only need like 4 guys to build the 17 electric cars that they will OFFER in the next model year.
If I want my strike pay I have to picket but there’s so many of us at the plant (almost 6000 total) we’re scheduled one shift a week. Same day and time every week so yeah I hope to catch up on some things around the house since I usually work 7 days a week every week!
WE SHOULD GET RID OF THE DEMORATS ALL THEY EVER DO IS TRY TO STRIP OUR FREEDOMS ,THEN THE ONES WHO PUSH THIS TRANSTESTICAL MOVEMENT AND LETTING GUYS PARTICIPATE IN GIRLS SPORTS HONORS A MAN DRESSED AS A WOMAN A FOUR STAR OFFICER IN THE MILLITARY BASICALLY MAKING OUR ARM SERVICES LOOK LIKE A BUNCH OF P---SIES..THE USA IS GOING TO HELL IN A HANDBASKET ,,IF I HAD THE MONEY ID MOVE TO ANOTHER COUNTRY AND BECOME AN EXPATRIOT ,
I know a guy who's company outsourced to India, their work was just good enough to pass, but ultimately was shit and had to be reworked internally before it could be used.
When I left 'big blue' they were outsourcing code development as fast as they could & canned as many US based tech workers as possible. The code coming out of those 3rd world countries (mostly India) was total crap - didn't work correctly/to spec right out of the box. My guys were suppose to try & fix the crap & tell customers how great it was. Even when it (barely) passed spec, the code itself was so badly written as to be unmaintainable, so even small maintenence upgrades were either impossible or took forever to get done.
Heard, as a kid in Europe, that Furd was checking the junkyards looking for parts that were still good on worn out cars.
Then they could cut back on the quality of those parts.
Back in the day (early - mid 80's) when I was working at GM they had whole teams in engineering that did nothing but try to figure out ways to cut quality of components and the assembly methods so the cars would get past the warranty without too many repairs. Even small stuff like can we use 1 or 2 fewer clips/screws to hold the headliner in place !!
Gotta believe all that still goes on today & is why these cars are such crap.

Cutting labor costs with snap together parts that can be secured by automation, These whinny little bitches are putting themselves out of a job and the reason these cars get built out of the country and out from under the thumb of the unions squeezing the profitability from the corporations. Corporations EBIT is not as high as the union bosses want their faithful subjects to understand always quoting the gross profit to inflame the masses

Wow! Don’t know much about the assembly processes. That’s cool, you can think what you want but if look at the real numbers unions are NOT squeezing the profits out of the companies! They are keeping them which is fine but share some with us, we ARE the ones that make them the profits.
And it’s harder to assemble than one thinks, not all can be done effectively with automation. Believe me if it could it would be!!!
the world is going to automation, its everywhere kiosk here and there ,self check outs ,i personally believe that it should be against the law to replace a human being with a machine
but sometimes i wish i could replace my employees with machines lol
I wuz a member of 5 unions and day were all demos. I waz reiemburuised fur my time by da highest union wage, mechanic, and all da o/t I wanted till they saw my checks. Den to salary wit o/t and all bennys. I had er maid. Till da picker lines came out. 2 whore snot 2?? The GM of Ford last year received a $25 mill boner on top of his wagez.
So what do we know (if anything)..on how this will impact production on the 170...I hesitate to call my dealer..(they are great people)..they don't know much past what time of day it is..

It is but it wears you out!
Last week I worked five 12s and two 10s, so 80 hrs total and they took 43% of my check in various taxes!!! It’s complete bullshit!
This is the best explanation of our wages and the 2-tier system automakers have used since 2007
So if you’ve started in the last 16 years you get very watered down wages and benefits that were supposed to come back up to be on par with legacy workers but never did and companies have gotten away with it because of crappy UAW representation! We are tired of it and got ourselves some new leadership!
