If i raced mine I would have gone with an A8, but a 700hp manual with the Challenger’s styling just checked all the boxes for this old guy that couldn’t afford a muscle car in my youth. I really don’t care what else is out there or is in the works.

For me, it's not that serious and more about having a good time. I get big a rush rowing gears at the strip, a bit of challenge for sure

Its fun on the street.
Its fun going around corners with a stick shift

But in a drag car, auto all the way.

For a speed thrill, A8 is the way to go. But 99% of my driving is putting around town, and the M6 is much more entertaining and engaging for "normal" driving! :)

You need to drive my car some day you will be enlightened.

For a speed thrill, A8 is the way to go. But 99% of my driving is putting around town, and the M6 is much more entertaining and engaging for "normal" driving! :)

Took my neighbor for a ride before they moved away, he was in my cat a few times but not at the 1100 wheel level. Did a 50-130 pull with him across the bridge. He was ghost white and hands shaking on the way home. I asked him “well, what da ya think?” He just looked over at me and said “fast, scary fast” lol. Me, I’m used to it I guess as the cars a pussy cat and very tame but is very fast.

When I had my 87 mustang it started out as a stick. It was fine until I put a blower on it and was making around stock Hellcat power (less hp but less weight) Every shift was like a roller coaster, pulling hard you shift it dips next gear pulls again. Putting in an auto was so much smoother. My Evo was a mid 12 second car and it was fun with a stick. My winter cars for 20 years were sticks (4 different cars) For me once I start making a lot of power the auto was more enjoyable

My 84 Capri (fox body platform) G5 at 500 wheel on spray is SCARY lol, but just engine is a consistent 12.25 car at the track that takes me to the finals most every time I take it to the track. Lightning fast shifter it is and very consistent for an old school cable clutch car, I have fun with it bracket racing at the track. But it takes like an abysmal 13 seconds 60-130 at is pretty hairy at that speed for any length of time on the street.
I agree A8 is a better track platform no doubt, wish I could have 2, a stick for the street and an auto for the track.

How does the 6 speed drive, good? I hear some complain about it.
I've driven so many three pedal cars in my life, strongly doubt this one will be near bottom of my list.

CLK430 was a V8 upstage to the BMW 3 series. My wife's was just like this but was a HT (that's Hard Top for those of you in Rio Linda :)) Very nice car, but expensive and overbearing in it's attempt to "help" you drive.
