I happened upon the Demon 170 group on Facebook… oh my. That’s a special group there. Safe to assume 99% of them don’t have an order in?

I do think it's sweet that you try to keep tabs on my personal details though. I feel very special...

People tell me I shoulda been a lawyer, I actually read the thing lol.

Summary:

Some self entitled guy wanted to be the first to get a Plymouth Prowler and offered to pay $5,000 over sticker to be that person at the dealer. Agreement is drawn up and signed by both parties.

Another customer comes a long and offers more money.

Dealer tells original purchaser they aren't getting a Prowler.

Original purchaser checks with Chrysler and learns dealer is getting a Prowler. Customer calls out dealer with the info, dealer tell original purchaser they do not want to do business with him.

Original purchaser buys a Prowler somewhere else for $30K over sticker.

Sues dealer for breach of contract, and is awarded the difference in what the original agreement was ($5K over) and what he paid $30K over. Dealer paid original purchaser $30K in damages.

All that over an ugly car not worth anything today.

Is this a real case? If so it’s a precedent and a judge will likely rule the same way.

Until you take delivery it's not a done deal until the key are in hand and it's in your driveway/garage; PERIOD.

...add in there's no shortage of people that will readily lie about what they paid/didn't pay for whatever foolish reason. They'll say they paid a $50K ADM when they really paid $100K and vice versa and for what reason exactly?
