I had to get pilot bearing from m6 out. Threw pilot bushing for 8a in freezer for a few hours, went right in. They’re a bear getting out, thankfully I have this tool now

I've always used grease and a tight fitting round bar...pack it with grease and push bar in,(should be really tight and go in 1/4-12"), then get a hammer and smack the bar. This has worked even with rusted in pilots. Sometimes I will turn and oversized bar down to -.003 from actual hole size if I have nothing close or it pushes grease out instead of bushing.
