I use to go there as a kid to visit family IN THE 60’s. We drove through there when I worked for Boeing in CT. Hated it every damn time.

I don’t know about that. There is a kid by me that has a stock exhaust Hyundai Veloster that is the loudest most obnoxious sounding car I have heard in at least 10 years.

Stock everything except one of those crackle tunes. It pops and crackles so much it’s unreal and certainly doesn’t seem good for the car. I’ve heard factory tunes (D170) or even my SP with some pops and crackles but this thing is unreal. I’m wondering if some of these people getting tickets for a supposed “stock” exhaust have an overly aggressive crackle tune.

Nothing wrong with a little noise control as long as it is not targeting high end automobiles. Loud cars and trucks can affect the quality of life for many.

100% agree about the fako Commie/Socialist EV narrative, but there are also some overly loud obnoxious exhausts out there.

Motorcycles seem to have their fair share as well, though with some it might be for a safety issue so as to be heard by other motorists.

I think you're onto something. And include with those people, diesel trucks that have tunes which blow out clouds of black smoke.
