Got a message from a friend stating the 2020 Dodge Challenger "Build & Price" is now available and 2020 Red Eyes are starting to arrive at some of the dealers.

From what I can see (unless I missed it) Dodge has yet to announce ANY NEWS AT ALL on the 2020 Hellcats and Red Eyes? Although I did read about the 50th anniversary Scat Packs, Shakers and GT's; but again, NOTHING on the Hellcats & Red Eyes.

Is this in error ??

Thank you !

There is nothing newsworthy, that's why, just some new wheels and a CF interior package. There is an FCA news release with pictures on the web.

I just checked out the 2020 Dodge "Build & Price" web site and it looks correct in terms of price increases and body colors.; otherwise, pretty much the same as 2019.

Bottom line is: Is anyone aware if Dodge has produced any 2020 Red Eye Challengers as of yet?

Thank you !

Yeah that's been up and running for a while now. Personally I'm waiting to see if the Power Bucks thing comes back in the fall.

They are in production and on their way to dealers. Kernersville in NC is showing 2020s in transit.

FCA has a bigger problem, power dollars are ending in 2 weeks and they still have more than 15% of their 2019 Hellcat production still on dealer lots.

Thank you Tannehill ------- other problems in addition to the 2019 power dollars ending and 15% still in inventory are some folks may hold off buying until next fall hoping for another Power Dollars incentive ?? --- Not to mention the MSRP have gone UP ---- I ran my exact moderately optioned 2019 RE build through the Dodge "Build & Price" web site and the MSRP increased $1,100.

The funny thing is we all know what Dodge's margins are now. So only a fool is paying MSRP or higher for a 2020, much less a leftover 2019.

2020 Build & Price missing 3.09 axle and Mopar Hood Pin options unless I missed it...… No premium paint option like 2019.

I noticed that as well, it's possible they will show up eventually as was the case with the 3.09 option in the 2019 "build & price" which was not shown until very late in the year.

The interesting thing for me was (unless I missed it) there was no formal announcement of the 2020 Hellcat & Red Eye ----- and ----- from what I can see there were no changes (big or small) which is unusual.

I suppose It's still possible some minor unidentifiable changes were made and haven't been announced yet; but, doesn't look like that's the case? -------------- obviously no killer 426 on a lighter platform for 2020 !!

All I know for sure is the 2019 & 2020 Red Eye and 717 Hellcats are awesome machines (with or without) any changes.

Thank you Slowpoke ----- you're correct, apparently they DID make some changes for 2020 as you pointed out (most are options) :
1. NEW --- Carbon Fiber & Suede Package @ $1,595
2. NEW --- Leather Package which now includes a leather wrapped dash @ $4,985 (effectively $400.00 more than last year's Laguna seat package @ $4,585 which did NOT include the leather wrapped dash.
3. NEW --- optional 9.5" machined w/granite pocket wheels for the narrow body @ $1,095.
4. NEW --- Wide Body wheels which replace the Devil wheels (standard).
5. NEW -- Three new exterior colors available (not shown in the Build & Price web site at this time (may be available later in the year) ???
6. NEW --- Price increases for base MSRP and some options.

There may be some other changes; but, that's all I can find so far ?

Don't forget the all new white contrast stitching in the leather lol.

I ordered a 2020 Redeye today and also noted the lack of pins and 3.09 on Dodge.com when preparing my order. When I sat down with the dealership inventory manager to place the order, 3.09s and hood pins ARE options on their order forms. Not sure why Dodge's website doesn't list them, though.

Congratulations!

The fact that the website is even remotely close, this early in the year, is amazing.

Hoods pins have always been hit or miss on availability, so good job getting them ordered, actually getting them on your build sheet will be the next trick.

;)

Go Mango Orange Widebody with Brass Monkey Wheels. So freaking perfect!
Well, they're Granite, but they still look pretty good. I think the only Brass Monkey option for '20 is the old Devil's Rim style. I was actually at this dealer yesterday looking at a different car with my son. That Redeye is sitting in their showroom. I almost missed that it was a '20 until I realized it had the new/old Warp Speed wheels.

I'd be leery about having a leather wrapped dash myself. I mean, the dash probably takes the majority of the sun and UV rays. How will the leather hold up to that over time? I would think a lot more upkeep would be needed to keep the leather supple to prevent it from cracking and fading??

I skipped the hood pins, but I DID opt for the 3.09s. I'll be interested too see if I can get a 190+ 'top speed recorded' with those gears like I did with the 2.62s in my '16.

You’re correct. Guess I won’t have to buy the car now.
