@fumanchu182, what all did you take off of your blower to ship for porting? Did you take off the bracket for the bypass valve? What about pulley, about, did you take about apart to remove snout gasket and pulley/hub?

All of this is on Kong’s website or you can call them. Lid does not need to be sent. Remove pulley, gaskets don’t need to go either. Id call them if you have Q’s, I got mine done years ago and don't remember it all.
It’s on its way to Kong for a full max effort port and race bearing rebuild. Didn’t need it. Where the coating is missing the roots still have their machined finish, I don’t think there was any contact. It’s a relatively low mileage blower. Also no bearing noise, just getting the rebuild so I can spin it a bit more and not worry about it (besides the heat)
Crazy how much bigger this is than stock. It’s $200 more than the regular 108mm nick Williams throttle body but worth it. Its machined for an o ring on the other side. 108mm throttle body gaskets are $40 a piece and always on back order. SDG was my first choice, but got the throttle body, full race bearing rebuild (snout snd bearing plate, sdg does not replace bearing plate bearings), and max effort port job for less than the price of just the bearing plate and snout from sdg (including shipping). So we’ll see how it works out. If there’s damage I’m sure Kong will let me know. Do you still have the pics of how bad your 2.7 was @Speedy!
Jesse sent me several pics during disassembly and that 2.7 was majorly screwed up. Totally locked up and the rotors welded themselves to the end plate.
Yeah, mine never had any contact with the end plate still looked brand back there new turns freely, zero noise. Nothing wrong with it, just sent it in for porting and upgraded bearings. Hopefully nothing comes up when the rotors are pulled/inspected

That’s crazy I didn’t realize it was that bad, you did get it for a song and a dance though lol. Awesome that Jesse can rebuild them when they’re that far gone
