Any chance Kong will give you the part numbers on the bearings they use? Curious.

They might have a part number on them, don’t know. For $650 they better be some good ones lol

I’m still waiting to see what @16GoManGoHC2 has to say about taking apart the intercooler pump and slapping some rtv on there. I’m sure he’s had no less than 3 of them apart 😆

Jesse talked me out of upgraded bearings. Said he'd use them if I wanted to but that he'd never seen an actual bearing failure.

It's not about outright bearing failures... it's about /heat/ (which can lead to failure--but "good enough" bearings will last "okayish").
Bearing friction causes heat--and it has to go somewhere... better/lower/non-friction seals, better grease (or an outright oil bath like Mike is experimenting with) can significantly reduce the heat produced (and thus also make it more responsive). Simply choosing the wrong grease can also result in early bearing failure--if the grease doesn't have a high enough speed factor rating, then at high enough RPM it can literally get wiped away and result in metal on metal contact--lots of heat and possibly also physically damage the race.
A full-contact seal accounts for as much as 60% of a bearing's friction--so you can imagine what going to a non-contact seal can do.

So this is odd, this is the passenger side heater core pipe. Anyone have pictures of their front cover/valley where this goes in? Very strange, something’s missing

I’ve had the supercharger off a million times and never noticed this. Why is my front cover missing the nub for it to bolt onto

Is it cracked off? Might need a new timing cover--or weld a piece on, machine/grind it flat to match, and tap it.

This is an early 2015 m6. Anyone else have one and have pics of their valley? This is weird. No idea how I didn’t notice it when put the 2016 hard pipes in

I think he's expecting a threaded boss to be where that bracket with the hole in it is to bolt the heater pipe to the block and or timing cover.

Is that a factory hellcat timing cover? Every hellcat I've worked on has a 10 mm bolt to hold that on.
Yep, factory.

both tubes should have a mounting bolt to hold them in place on the timing cover.

Well, my car is an early 2015, and the hard lines are from a 2016
