I hate even posting this because I am sure it is painfully obvious but I cannot figure out how to get the stock intake air filter off to clean it. I see three screws on the outside of the housing that "appear" as though it holds the air filter in, but it doesn't make any sense. I thought it would be a bit easier than that. Can anyone assist please and thank you.

When I replaced my filter I just pulled out the air box as a unit. Then removed the filter.

Looks like that may be the easiest way to do it. Only two plugs too unplug and couple of bolts holding down the box....I was just hoping for a quicker removal, but I guess not.

It’s pretty easy. Now getting the air intake tube aligned may require a few curse words 😉.

I replaced mine (a 19) with a JTL.
Much cursing. They aren't made to go on 19's.

And what it looks like on inside of tube.

Have to cut the ears off to fit in the JTL tube.

Like the LMI on a Hellcat? I love the sound of my Hellcat. Makes my RedEye seem quiet. 😂

I took mine out to clean as well. (Also a 2019 Redeye Widebody) I simply unplugged the one electrical sensor in the intake tube, then loosened the clamps at each end, then pulled the tube up and out, and laid it out of the way, with the PCV hosing still attached. I then removed the three Allen-headed screws, detached the little hanger at the bottom/front of the filter and pulled it out.

However, the next time I do it, I’m going to try leaving the intake tube in place, and just loosening the clamp at the filter end, as I believe the filter will come out just fine that way, after removing the three screws.
