Change Intake Air Filter

Well, when you figure it all out we use to My husband John/Top Cat would take out the Filter while drag racing for a .1 gain!

And yes I went back to stock no filter and ran my 9.7 again!

I took mine out to clean as well. (Also a 2019 Redeye Widebody) I simply unplugged the one electrical sensor in the intake tube, then loosened the clamps at each end, then pulled the tube up and out, and laid it out of the way, with the PCV hosing still attached. I then removed the three Allen-headed screws, detached the little hanger at the bottom/front of the filter and pulled it out.

However, the next time I do it, I’m going to try leaving the intake tube in place, and just loosening the clamp at the filter end, as I believe the filter will come out just fine that way, after removing the three screws.

Thats what I am going to try. The one screw on the bottom seems although it may be very hard to get too. Filter is in the way.

Also, the OEM filter is oiled or dry?
