Boost level

Since I got my Redeye I’ve never seen it go more than 11 lbs of boost. Last week we installed the SC spacers and thermo blanket.

I noted when we removed the SC there was some evidence of blow by on the right bank. See attached.



Today was the first day I got to really push the car.

Temperature: 94 degrees
Humidity: 12%
DA: 3730
PA : 1478

From a 45mph to 152mph blast.

The car made 13.5 pounds of boost.

Intercooler temperature: 121
Inlet air temperature: 140

I did the exact same run with very similar conditions before installing the spacers and blanket so.....

I think I was loosing boost due to the blow by. The car is advertised at 14.5 so...

My modded Hellcat makes 14 to 14.5 all day long.

If it spec’s at 14.5 I guess the leaking was a little worse than apparent? Either way good for you, that’s great!!! Found hp is always a winner.

I’m just glad the damn thing is running as advertised. I still believe my modded Hellcat will gap this stock Redeye. 🤫

That's good boost , at that temp & DA you will loose some boost , just like when it's cold & low DA you will pick up some boost.

Well I think @Speedy! found an algorithm table, where it does the readings based on the boost. So looking at this, if it sees another 1/2 lb, it probably will show the programmed max.

I was out alone, just playing around with it on a real nice evening and was curious what it was reading if I stomped it because it was feeling good. I admit one hand on the damn wheel and another on the phone, that is how easy these can be to get yourself in trouble with.

Yeah , I guess that is crank hp because when they advertise HP it is crank hp.

So @Paladin06 at one time me that supercharger could spin with the best! Dealer has been quiet today, I wonder how many pieces of my RE are detached and on the shelf/floor right now?
