10.15 @ 131, fun trip to the track

We had a good outing at the track this past weekend. The car is stock w a wheel change and the easy 150 lbs removed(trunk liner, seats, sway bar). It weighs 4465 on the starting line. Turns out a good starting line and good DA will really wake one of these things up! Lol

Awesome! No mods other than jettison of easy dead weight. What wheels? Did you run it in street, sport, or track mode? Or a custom mix on SRT setup? Foot or launch control? Give. LOL.

Correct, no mods. Wheels and tires are Weld S71 17x11 w 315 MT, fronts are Forgestar 18x5 w the 28-6 MT street tire.
Straight Track mode, 93 pump gas.

Houston Raceway Park. It turns out there is a place outside Canada and New Jersey that has great DA! Who knew? Lol

Also, foot break. My launch control doesn't work well. Maybe only works 2 out of 3 times for me. I just stall it to 1800/1900 and flat foot it.

Awesome. I was checking the weather down there and was hoping it would be good.
Glad you got to run in good air. It looks like the humidity wasn't bad for a change.
Up here for good air like that it is cold usually. My last time out it was in the 30's.
So traction on worn tires was interesting at first.😮

That will be a tough time to beat stock, but I have seen a couple people hit 132-133 on 10.2-10.3. Great run!

GT500 is very quick on the stock tires, but the redeye is insane in the 60 ft. The gt500 will not be going 10.1 on the stock tune.

Are you using your line lock to cleanoff your tires?
I had a few issues with mine and went to using the footbrake method for that also.

I have not tried the line lock yet either. I probably have at least 80 passes all on the foot break

I was driving around the burnout box(no skinnies) and backing into it and the line lock did not like that and would not engage.
