It's been a crazy couple of weeks. Zdung took back the World Record at TX2K and we have not been able to get to the track this year after dyno-ing the car and making 2156 whp. Those are the numbers we showed everyone :) LOL!!

And then we take the record back with a 7.35 sec at 186 mph pass: http://instagr.am/p/C40fLQYreWk/

Well, it's been a crazy four weeks. Broke four times: shredded the LSD and went to a full spool from IMS, then broke the bolts off of the reluctor wheel, then dropped three values and had a complete value replacement and head job and then shredded the fly wheel bolts off to the crank.

Then I asked Nicolas to do another dyno pull. 40 lbs of boost made 2255 whp. Then we took the car to Streetcar Braggin Rights and did this:

Good pass! 👊. Ok where do I start. Flexplate bolts? What is up with that? I have these waiting with a new Super Duper plate. Thoughts? IMG_6529.jpeg IMG_6182.jpeg

Question no.2…. The spool. Is that a 35 spline? Available for purchase? How much? We have some IRS car that will want to know. Thanks. Keep going! 😁

Marc,
I think it's because we keep turning up the 60' and just hitting 1.14 sec 60' with a 4200lbs car.

Also, because we have a TH400, we have to use these ARP bolt with our transmission adaptor: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/ARP-150-2902

Plus someone needs to design a better bolt with a shoulder to support these bolts.

Jack,
you are soooo observant! Most people did not notice. I'll post a slow mo video on my IG showing the chute got hung up on the air launcher. Was going 181 and almost wadded up the car and the sand trap net stopped me. Plus my brakes over heated. I'm getting the front and back rotors turned today. To include replacing all of the brake pads. Scary sh!t. Thanks for asking bud.

I’m going to dual chutes for just this reason. I’ve had a couple occasions where the chute didn’t deploy and one time I just barely got stopped feet from the sand. It can happen and as heavy as we are, that 200 mph before they’re required is too fast. With two… if one fouls up the odds are the other will still deploy. Did you have any significant damage?

The action doesn’t end at the last cone sometimes… glad you were able to save it. These big girls take a lot of braking power to stop, can’t imagine one at 180+ mph. Good job keeping it sorted, and thankfully it’s just some rotor turning and maybe fresh pads/fluid… could have been disastrous.

They were glowing and smoking when we got back into the pits.

All rotors have been turned, thank god we did not crack the front brembos (those are $1.2k EACH). We kept them on the car to make 4200lbs weight limit.

And all pads will be replaced this weekend.

No TBM brakes? Throw a sand bag in the trunk 😅

Apologies for not logging in and providing more updates... the end of 2024 was crazy.

Once the good air arrived, we turned up the car and pushed for a 6-second pass. We hit the rev limiter, so we had to make a few adjustments. We changed the rear gear and increased the RPM limiter.

Then, we were off chasing a 6 again.

The car was hooking nicely, and our 60' time went down to a 1.13. But then, we broke an axle. We put the renegade axles through hell for almost two years and over 30 seven-second passes, along with countless 1/8th mile tests. Those axles had over 100 passes on them at more than 2255 whp (or at least that's what we told everyone... it was actually more LOL!).
G-Forces sent us their Outlaw axles in just a few days. Back at the track,

The car was running well pass after pass... but something still felt off. Then, we ran 7.19 at 197 mph. Our MPH was increasing nicely, but we were losing ET. What was wrong?

After talking with Nicolas Performance and FuelTech, we discovered the issue: the transmission was burnt up. The 2nd gear was gone, and the 3rd gear was almost gone.

What we learned: At the end of every race season, the TH400 at this power level needs to be torn down and refreshed. We've been pushing the TH400 for two seasons.

Once the transmission was freshened up, we headed back to the track. We paid for Cletus' Christmas Tree event in Bradenton, FL. All the big names were there trying to win that money. But we did not enter the tree event... not putting a tree on my Hellcat LOL!

We tested spool up in the pits... everything looked good. Went to the line, and disaster struck... broke a turbo. The car did not spool. We packed up and headed home.

Got the turbo repaired, and then BLAM! Winter Wonderland hit the Southeast, followed by the holidays. Then came 2024.

Our first track day wasn't until January back in Bradenton, FL. We were pumped up. Everything had been refreshed, and Nicolas threw in a hot tune. We went to the line and let go of the button.

FINALLY RAN OUR SIX-SECOND PASS: 6.98 at 197 mph. Check out the run here!
https://www.instagram.com/reel/DFQgqpxS5gu/

Now, we're rebuilding all of the turbo piping, reducing weight, and upgrading the engine with all Race Winning Brands parts (Dart block, Diamond pistons, and MGP aluminum rods). Jake Sampson is also building us another engine. Prestige Fabrication doing all of the fab work and Nicolas Performance will rebuild the cat.

Hope to be back on the track in May at Streetcar Braggin Rights.
