Another oil thread... Is 0w-40 ok in everything?

I was brought up with the understanding that only Olive Oil goes with everything.

With, in or on???

I admit having one oil on the shelf would be nice! Right now I have 0W-20, 5W-20, 0W-40, 10W-30 and a mix of "special" oils for toys and the lawn mower...
I know only having one oil on shelf will never happen (unless everything goes out the door), but it would be nice!

We have an old 4 cyl.propane fork lift @ work...(we call it the war wagon)..we bought it used 35 yrs. ago...it wont die.cant tell ya how many times we ran it low..(even outta Oil)...we've put everything under the sun in it...STP (3qts)..90wt gear lube (1 qt)...every viscosity known to man...no smoke additives..stop leak additives..you name it...it's a bit noisy..with a knock that been there as long as I can remember..right now it;s on 4 qts. Slick50...1 qt. oil...same filter over 10yrs. still runs like a champ

I use the PUP 0W-40 in my two old GM daily's in addition to the Hemi fleet of course. I dislike having to stock multiple oil types for no good reason.
