The one thing the Challenger doesn't need is to look bigger which the widebody does. I also personally hate the stock widebody wheels. Widebody Charger actually looks better. Just another opinion worth what you paid for it.

The flares are just more cheap plastic that looks like what it is.......... a total after thought from the design department.

Also good to have if you collect rock chips as a hobby.

Think of Jessica Simpsion as a Hellcat. Which looks better??

I’m on my 4th and I’d take wide Jessica. She’s richer than the narrow Jessica and would appreciate my maturity 🥸

Remember newlyweds that was the OG dumbest show on television at its time. After that all these reality shows popped up left and right. You got to give J Simp credit though. Back in the day definite Eye Candy.

I'm an old guy and the WB just doesn't fit the retro look, I adored these cars back in the day when I had no money.!

Also, I do Land Speed Trials, 305's all around and flares are just losses.

WB just looks better period. Ive had two standard bodies and each time I wish I bought a WB so I traded mine in. Standard body still looks great to me tho. The WB just looks better.

Its probably slightly less areodynamic going down the track but were talking peanuts.

Thats interesting cause I experience the same shit. I do have brand new 555R2's maybe I will throw those on and see. Currently I have the PS4's.

My cons are; it's wide and the tires get caught up in the grooves of the road. Putting 555r2s on the back was definitely helped the groove issue.

The fronts still get caught but nowhere near as often or as bad when the 4 Pirellis were on it. Just don't drive in the rain. It will want to come around on you.

Is that a 1/2 mile run? What DID you use for tires?

1mi runs. Last Sept I hit 173.537 with Firestone Indy 305's on the back. Lots of slipping thru 3rd. It is a runway, not a prepped strip.

This year I had Mich PS4S 305's and they gripped great, but to my surprise my best was only 173.003. Could have been the air, wind, maybe I should have shifted at 5900 instead of 6100? Who knows. Disappointing but fun anyway. I'll be back!

I like it. Yep, grip is a problem, yet high speed tires or tires like I use for lapping can’t be those smaller diameter and much different tire design types our drag racing friends use to get it hooked up at slower speeds. I am at a decision point in a couple of weeks. It is likely to be a fairly cool day in central Minnesota for a track day in two weeks. I don’t know if I want the Cup 2’s which work so much better when hot. Or, use the good old Pirelli tires built for more overall temperatures. I am driving until then with the OEM’s and playing with them when I can.

We have a giant straight. Upper 160’s or so could be possible before the brakes come out to slow down and stabilize a bit.

Speaking of brakes, last year Adrenaline Rush did 203.7 (1.5mi) in a lightly modded non-RE Charger last year. With only 1mi to stop before you are in the weeds he said his rotors were blue. At that speed, 1/2mi goes by in less than 9 sec. He now has a new RE and it is easily running under 10 in the 1/4, can't wait to see what it does on the runway next year. And yes, he runs P04S also.

Thanks. I do use aftermarket rotors and pads for the serious track work. Blue is okay, it is the red hot or once when I got black flagged in my HC, flames [rant] that become a problem!
