I pulled that black plastic thing off--let me move that whole harness up higher out of the way for when I did the plugs. It doesn't actually do anything.

I have some vibrant extreme wrap I thought about wrapping them in, but that itself is bulky. I have everything pulled up and out of the way with zip ties, have a system down now and the right size extensions. I picked up a long handle, low profile flexible 3/4 socket wrench from harbor freight - it’s a must for this job
I agree with this assertion. There will be so much air flowing through. Also the reason you see no gasket is I use an anaerobic sealer gasket material. The Hellcat gaskets will become unattainable soon for a normal price.
Yeah, they use anaerobic sealant on bearing plate to supercharger body and then a new factory style gasket from snout to bearing plate, might be cometic
Jon Bond sells a gasket for the 2.4 for between SC front plate and the snout, not as good as the factory one but it works. The 2.7 and 3.0 use anaerobic sealant on both sides of the plate, no gasket.
I suppose since it's just the exhaust ports, maybe it's okay.
But here's a great demonstration why not to use scotch bright to clean aluminum mating surfaces.
I’m getting it off but I don’t want to keep going over it, especially since I can only go over pretty much 1 at a time. Don’t to create low spots. I have more off now than in this pic in those 2. I think rtf might lead to more problems, not sure 🤔
Any amount of leaking can cause the computer to think it's running lean when it's not because it can pull in air--a vacuum leak upstream of the catalytics.
