Doc fees cost them about $15.

Some dealers are just ass hats and some are legit.

I had plenty of dealers around the SLC area telling me that they would not budge off MSRP on the Jeep I bought my wife. Went to my hometown in Idaho to visit my parents, found a Jeep on the lot from the same dealership that has serviced that area forever, and then gave me $5k off MSRP plus the trade in was great (once I added in the tax savings it was more than I paid for the car new).

The same dealer I bought my Jeep from said they sold all their TRXs under MSRP. Not sure if they are getting anymore but that's a small town dealer who has done a lot for that community over the last 60 years.

Correct, my point was for the websites though.

On cars.com, autotrader, cargurus the dealers will advertise at the actual price above msrp.

On their sites however most dealers only write the msrp or hide the sales price.

Florida is definitely a dealer friendly state, $899 doc fees galore
Doc fees cost them about $15.
In the mid 90's fee's were like $99 and ppl bitched.

Now dealer fees range from $800 - $1100 + some are adding a 2nd fee (usually around $250 - $300) + they stick it to you for the electronic title ($50 - $150 over what the state actually charges). It's completely gone insane !! A large % also tack on a bump sticker for another $1200 - $2000 for what amounts to a few hundred worth of stuff (vin etching, towing, wax etc.).

Not sure I'll ever buy another car here, cheaper to buy out of state & either drive it here or have it transported in.

There are government regulations for some states too, VA is another bad one. Doc fee is $799.

Somewhere, on some dealer's lot are a handful of units they are trying to get off of the books.

That and just getting people on the lots helps them sell general inventory, especially when people figure out they can't afford a Halo car...

Just received the latest mail incentives for Dodge products in yesterday's mail. Shocked with the shortage of new vehicles that they'd even bother, but ...

Program ID:45CM4B

Public incentives:
for Challenger/Charger/Durango SRT/Hellcat products: $2000.00 / must take retail delivery by 30 Sep 21
for Challenger/Charger/Durango non-SRT products: $1500.00 / must take retail delivery by 30 Sep 21

plus Private incentives, specific to the name on the mailer:
for Challenger/Charger SRT/Hellcat products: $1500.00 / must take retail delivery by 1 Nov 21
for Challenger/Charger non-SRT products: $750.00 / must take retail delivery by 1 Nov 21

can't quite figure out who this was targeted at, since most of our local dealers haven't had many new Challenger or Chargers this year, nearly all V6's. The only dealerships in my general area with HC's or any other V8, are the "bend over and will give you the price, with an extra charge for the lube" places
today's mail included an updated version of the same discounts, trying to entice me to buy a non-existant [at least locally, long drive to the closest HC] new car. same dollar amount, but now shows both name and zip code for the "Private" portion. Also, didn't notice this on the last one, but in the fine print we see that it's transferable only to family members living at the same address, and that name and address verification via government issued identification is required [really difficult keeping my comments on this to myself at the moment]

Edit: new deadline for delivery is 1 Nov 21

I was hot and heavy to sell my just off-lease 18' WB, 8,900 miles. Dealer offered $64,500 for it. I wanted to order a SS and it was difficult to A: Find a local dealer with allocation and B: Find a dealer that would budge a single nickel off of MSRP, plus their dealer fees. I decided to just hold the car until things calm down.. or maybe until something new surfaces in the MOPAR world. BTW.. TRX at my local dealer, $25K in "market demand pricing".. lol

I think jake of dan cummins is doing 4 below invoice on SS or koons. Double check but they are doing 4% below every other hc model.
