Probably not all that long. The hawks and ravens have been congregating around a spot to the northeast, but before I got around to go see what they were waiting to feast on I saw the leg maybe 200 yards to the south.
I was playing golf with some friends two weeks ago and we all thought we saw an animal that sure looked like a wolf from about 300 feet away. It was a residential area just East of Fruitland Park, FL. It must have been a fox but its color was too dark, almost black, for a fox and it looked a lot bigger than a fox. It slinked off slowly into a dense brush. People in any area around here do not let their dogs run loose so it was definitely a wild animal. On the other hand, here is some info I found: The Florida black wolf (Canis lupus floridanus) is a subspecies of gray wolf that lived in Florida that was originally extinct in 1934 due to crowding out of its habitat and hunting, but has since been brought back from extinction by SciiFii and reintroduced throughout the open woodlands of Central and Northeast ... the Florida black wolf is a protected animal and its populations are making a comeback.

The 1 we saw was dark brown and black. I would say that it was well over 100 lbs. It ran across the street and into the woods not far from our house.
I'm hoping that it was just traveling through.

I didn’t think to research it until you said you thought you had seen one too. It was bigger than a German Shepherd and bigger than a fox. It must have been a rare Florida black wolf! Now we know wolves really exist in Florida…along with bears, pumas, wild boars, sharks, alligators, crocodiles, various poisonous snakes, pythons, boa’s, anacondas, poisonous spiders, lots of mosquitoes and many other interesting wildlife.
