Absolutely not. Unless you are specifically tuned for it.
I'm not talking about a large amount of e-85 maybe 2 or 3 gal. per tank which would be maybe e-20

I would do 2.5 > 3 oz. of Boostane per 1/2 tank of 93. And at least have it checked by a tuner on a dyno to make sure it's dialed in & ok.

Get a case of octane booster for the trunk and run 17lbs all day.

I believe e20 is the top edge of what computer can adjust for, it might throw a CEL....so, I would also say make sure tune is on target.

The dash wideband in the car is actually set to the stoich for E-15 fuel. You would be 100% safe until that point on the stock tune.

Here's what I do know though...at around 15% inferred ethanol content my flex tune starts blending tables to compensate.. so I wouldn't push it MUCH further than that point without at least the ability to data log what is happening.

Also...this website...for calculating content...is amazing IMO.

Watch the octane boosters, @16GoManGoHC2 showed what his heads looks like after running it while and they were caked pretty good with orange deposits. He has pictures posted in his build thread.

I wouldn't try to mix e85 in as you'll have to keep very detailed notes over time. Would be a hassle I think.

A flex fuel tune while pricey may be the best bet.

I use boostane professional and have zero issues. the orange coating has no bearing on plug performance. I have run this for years. every once and a while i'll run ms 109 when doing the track/HO button stuff.

You need to go have a look at @16GoManGoHC2 valve pics after running that stuff.

I run 93 with 17lbs but the tune for 93 has a lot of timing removed. Limited to 10-12* of timing max. The reason is you find the limit of 93 real fast, your knock sensors will tell you.

For track days with full timing enabled, 104. Is recommended to blend with 93 in 1:1 ratio. I have plenty of logs with knock and 93 gasoline, part of the trial and error when getting my car dialed in with my tuner.

That's good news. Post pics if you can with the ratio of product used so folks can compare. Maybe it's a case of "a dab will do ya" LOL.

They were not even worth taking photos of, honestly nothing remarkable. I use a 1/4 can of the professional per tank of 93. keeps the knock boogie man away. and every couple of months I run a tank of straight 93 with a can of seafoam through for shits and giggles.

I have one for sale. We went a different route. Had it on my 2018 Charger for about 2-3K miles.
Not sure if this is allowed here?

So you use about 8ozs. to a full tank ?... I use 2 > 3ozs. each time I fill back up after going to track, I just fill up to 3/4 tank. I adjust up to 97 or 98 octane from 93. On data logs it never shows knock.

I’ve run one of these 4oz bottles when I fill up from a 1/4 tank. Boostane calculator states this changes my 91 octane to 93 octane. I’ve been doing this on my 2015 since 2016 with no issues.

Well gents pull up an ammo can and pop a squat, the way this product came about the owner Ethan who told me this personally who is a chem engineer by trade, would go out with his Dad on those big racing boats. and those require serious octane fuel requirements and fuel stabilization, so he developed his product to suit that need I believe he had some connection with torco years ago (I forgot exactly how that was in our conversation) but not only does the boostane boost octane its a semi fuel stabilizer. I have used it my self and had zero issues. and for the record anything that burns is going to leave some residue, your comparing it with running ethanol which has a hydrotropic property to it like a detergent. gunpowder residue gasoline residue but there will always be some. now speedy pass me a beer.
