Hornet first look

Well I can honestly say tonight was my first look @ THE NEW Hornet up close and personal....drove by my local Dodge/Ram /Jeep dealer...low and behold....they have 12 new Hornets on the lot...prices range from 33/44 g's...2 were open so I sat in them...can't figure out what segment of the market this car appeals to...styling is mundane..interior is small and cramped..(and I'm only 5'9'/200) had no idea what it was till I read the sticker...the performance option of almost 3g's is joke...paint..stitching...shinny pedals..(are ya fuckin kidden)....Stellantis laid a major egg with this one...they better plan on DEEP discounts on this one....you can spend less...and get more from other brands..and not an SRT of any kind ..(new or used) on the lot...we won a huge political battle last week....but as Dodge faithful...we lost the war..

That's why there's no mistaking a Challenger...when those 4 round headlights (last of it's kind)..come up behind you..EVERYBODY knows what it is

Saw one up close in Feb. It was parked to the side of the service canopy @ the dealership I was surrendering my DDSRT to.
Color was straight up harvest gold from '73 . There were a bunch of tools scattered on the tray over the radiator, which led me to spot the plastic hood latch. That was all I needed to see & didn't even bother to look at the interior.

I'm not even sure they could give those cars away....... Someone in the US needs to purchase Dodge and get it back to what it used to be. Anyone have Musk's number? LOL

Cars never used to be just utility to get you from point A to B...they made people feel good...they looked good..and invoked a degree of passion...that concept is all but lost today by most manufacturers....that's what made the American auto industry flourish

I watched a video where someone in a Hornet outran the Arkansas State Police in one. They were doing 125 mph. The Chargers do 145. What did I miss?

I agree - I can remember a time when I could pretty much tell you the brand without even looking at a badge... If I couldn't tell you the specific brand I could tell the major manufacturers 99% of the time.

I would play a game with my sister while traveling where I could name the year, make and model by it's hubcaps.
