Beyond not enough copper in the world to run the power lines and make transformers, the environmental's will fight every power line ROW, AND, where is the power going to come from?!?!? Oil? Gas? Coal? Solar is a joke, CA is paying people to take it because the source is too far from the customer. And the tech giants are taking the nuke plants for AI !!!

Even if a valid business model could be developed for distributed energy for EV's, the gvt would f'k it all up with graft and environmental costs! Theory is one thing, reality is corrupt!!!
