Went ahead and had my Akrapovic quad tips installed today. Only problem was I have a mid muffler delete replaced with racing bullets. So make a long story short they don’t fit (which I kinda knew already as the stock resonators are right on the tips basically). So we cut the resonators out. Had to cut out the sumo max racing bullets as well. Guy has some magnaflow mufflers in stock so we use those to basically make a new exhaust. Tips look fantastic but to my disappointment the car is as quiet or quieter than stock. Lost my downshift burble and all. I mean it has a nice deep tone but I don’t know if i’m gonna like this. Just ranting, sorry.

I really believe the factory exhaust is perfect on these cars

I do NOT like the stock exhaust in one way: the fact that we can't manually switch it to however we want it, when we want it. You can't even give a decent rev to someone without flooring it. Any time you're expecting the driver / customer to do only what you expect them to do (and only want what you want to give them) it's a full on cluster screw up. Remember the early 4 wheel steering 300ZX? Drivers and programming working against each other. I'd rather lose the essentially worthless "lunch control" and have that button replaced with an adjustable exhaust control.

It’s slowly growing on me. Sorry I don’t have pics of the work. The exhaust dude was really meticulous though. Checked for air leaks multiple times. Very thorough.
