Glad you stuck with it. The results show the work you put in.😎
I get your frustrations early on, as a few here know I was ready to get rid of mine too this summer.
That won't be your last perfect light. Unfortunately that comes at a cost of a higher chance of red lighting. Ask me how I know. 🤦
Looking forward to more racing posts from you. 💪

So you go from running low 10s to almost mid 9s. What were the changes you made to get there? What made the biggest difference? I doubt that was all weather related?

Congrats! All the hard work and second guessing paid off...no, really am glad to see the effort has paid dividends. Keep at it, it gets better!

So me and Dr. Starck speculate that my diff was broken for a long time, just a roll of the dice how it welded itself back together. The axles were on their way out as well, so those two components were huge on getting me to launch better. It seems the 1.3x launches are the norm for me now. A 1.3 launch pays dividends on the back end.

On top of the mechanical side of the house I rewrote the TCM tune. After yeeting at 6850 I decided to be about it and learned how the TCM works. I started with the base HP90 tune and simply went up in RPM incrementally to get where I am at now. In addition to raising shift points I ensured that the shift pressures were set to an aggressive but yet safe level.

Didnt touch anything engine side as that was on point.

Did you mess with the Nominal Slip Times and Ramp Times at all? I just started messing with those.
I was fighting traction issues my last 2 times to the track I'm guessing my axle was also causing some of these issues and finally just broke the last outing

You guys are starting to scare me with the diff and axle stuff.
Although I am not at the power level you guys are at, I am sure I have way more runs on my car.

Go faster they say it'll be fun they say.
Every time I go to the track I'm always in the mindset something could break. Every time I change something to go faster I know there is that possibility. There are some very safe things to do to these cars that should have been done from factory as you have seen. But anytime you push something to it's limits you find the weak parts first.

My last pass I had an odd noise on return road. Sounded like a whirring noise.
2 days later I drove the car about 40 miles and no noises at all.

I started having a small whine or hum. Haven't noticed it since putting new axes in. But I also haven't put the diff brace back on to see if that causes it.

This was a new noise that I haven't heard before.
Of course now I can't drive it more to try to make it happen again.
I'm kinda hoping for no down time next year.

Doing a compare from stock the values have remained stock.

The inertia mode changes are remnants from Tuners changes.

My car makes all sorts of noises now, I have given up on it. Noise is noise, time slips tell the truth.

I think what also helped besides the TCM redo was, with 1.3x 60' times is you running a 3.09 with 305 & a good prepped track. If the prep is not good or track too cold then I hope the 305's will hold up.

Did you change launch rpm when going to a 3.09?

Not that I am aware of, I power brake at the lights and bump in. I am still on the stock converter so I don't want to bring it up too high.

Got a good start on the custom UI.

Found the gauges in the firmware and extracted them. Then found the right font from the system as well.
