You have to see this. Your blood may boil, but I think this shows that you’re kinda screwed from the hit… We knew Stellantis was part of the problem, their security sucks. But did you ever stop to think there are scumbags working at the factory… marking these cars as targets before they ever leave the assembly line? Consider this if you’re a 170 owner… there may be a tracker on the car that a thief installed allowing them to see your car, but also gather data allowing them to compile a pretty good understanding of where you go with it and when. This video doesn’t explicitly state that the tracker is installed at the factory, and I think the story is actually that after they steal it they embed the tracker so that they can steal it again after they sell it. BUT, nothing is stopping them from doing it during assembly too.

There was a guy who bought a new Toyota that had an aftermarket tracker. He did some digging and it ended up being the dealer putting them on there in case it ever needed to be repoed. Total b.s.

37 min it way too long for me.

Re: theft. If you live somewhere that has high theft, and you drive it everywhere (work, health club, restaurant, bar, etc), yes, you are an easy target, you have insurance. If you really care, use a beater and take the HC only when you can control the environment, be close by, and carry.

THIS! I enjoy the SS a lot but it’s only got 6,500 on it after a little over two years. I drive me if 4 other vehicles daily
Either one of the 2013 or 2024 Rams, 2021 Cherokee or the 2014 Wrangler are all dailies

I always knew you were the Man Bobo(y)(y)(y)
It's no secret I drive my cars sparingly...and never when the weather is questionable...and I never park my car where I cant see it when I do take it out

45k miles in 3 years, drove it everywhere and enjoyed the shit out of it. I understand having options and only driving on Sunday in perfect weather… I get it.
Just consider that they may know where it is even if it never leaves your garage… I hadn’t ever considered that.

That may very well be...but with the degree of difficulty stealing one of mine...they certainly can find easier prey....(I think like a criminal):giggle::giggle::giggle:;)

Download an app called "Air Tag Scanner".

It's free, and will locate any nearby AIRTAGS or TRACKERS.

It located my Dragy Timer when I left it in my car, and a "replace your filter" monitor on a furnace filter I bought, so I think it works.
