Didn't you end up going back to factory sway bar links too or are you still on the StolenLogix ones?

Yep, for now OEM in the back. They look small and stupid among the nice aftermarket stuff. But, they work.

Yep, for now OEM in the back. They look small and stupid among the nice aftermarket stuff. But, they work.
And the contact patch got worse? I'm hoping that was before you switched them out and just now made a note of it.

Because man. That would be messed up if it hit with stockers.

Because man. That would be messed up if it hit with stockers.
They really did not change the contact patch or anything like that. I know my little alignment problem was caused by the camber adjustments taking the toe way off. In the rear what I have found is both with a 305/35 and a 345/30 rear the AAD arms are holding the camber so static in the corners it seems the same square setup you guys use for the strip keeps the rear tires happy on a road course. Any deviation from square and it looks to cause the big wide tires to dart left and right at power and that gets a little too uncomfortable at the speeds at a couple of places I like to run it at.

I meant the "contact patch" on your camber arm from the sway bar. The contact has not happened since you went back to the stock end links...correct?

Otherwise...you REALLY gotta be pushing it hard to make contact now...far harder than i ever would.

No, no matter what, that sway bar won’t contact the AAD arm with the OEM link.

I'm surprised these companies are making the end links that short. 18" wheels fit with the stock one's 10.25" 17" wheels should easily fit with 9" end links

Just has to be longer than 8.25”. That is the dimension that lays the divot in it.

I'm hoping that the bwoody links really are 1" shorter. That should put them in the clear.

Mine havent shipped yet. I'll post the exact measurement up when I have them.

I had the front sway bar off today so I was under the car and could have measured mine but thought you already had the length

I have an educated guess based off old sales literature.

It states 1" shorter than stock. Stock is 10.25 apparently...though over heard 10 and 10.25.

Should put it around 9 or 9.25.

That's the best I have so far.

There's no rush and no need to crawl back under. It can wait for the next project.

I read my scale wrong and have corrected my measurements.

Bwoodys measure center of hole to center of hole 9.0625” and 10.75” overall length. Call it 9” ctc, if it is determined that the bwoodys still cause swaybar interference I have a source that can build these at custom lengths.

Sounds like we have a possible winner and a remedy for some of these contact issues. Maybe. Also lines up with what I had read from the old literature.

Thanks for grabbing that!

So far:

StolenLogix billet and HHP shortened links are known to have contact as well as any similar in that range of measurements.

One Bwoody car awaiting response.

Stock = 10.25
Bwoody = 9.0 to 9.0625" (personally verified)
UPR = 8.375
StolenLogix = 8.25
HHP? (Unknown) Shortened stock = 8 (from other forum)

Two lowered cars have made contact and one stock ride height. Another that is stock ride height and Bwoody hasnt reported interference yet and there is one other user yet to respond to inquiry.

Most of this has been individually shared with AAD so perhaps they can assist in resolution and/or revise things. They work perfectly with a 100% stock link and sway as well as some aftermarket bars/links as well as with a 1320 bar and 15" conversion...

So far it looks like anything below 8.5 give or take would be cause for concern due to possible contact and should be individually verified after settling and stressing the parts.

My Bwoody links measure as follows with a tape measure on my kitchen sink:

Front: 8 9/16" CtC
Rear: 9" CtC

I don't anticipate any issues but maybe they changed the length at some point over the last couple years?

Only way I could get 9.25" is closer to the outer edges of the sleeve.

Probably gonna commence install tomorrow.

I haven't taken really any pictures of the process but both front and rear links are on and the 315/50 are installed after fitment mods.

The driver's side needed A TON more work than the passenger side for some reason. More hammer and much more plastic work...and it STILL contacts the liner under full droop. At load there is plenty of room. Passenger side took the rib and pinch down as usual and when test fit without the liner it didnt even hit the plastic chassis shield but I still heat rolled it back and shaped the liner to it. No contact at full droop but it is VERY close. Loaded clears by a football field. I was able to retain the full plastic inner fender liner on both sides. No trimming.

The differences make me wonder if the fenderwells really are that different or if the cradle is shifted a little? I know that the splash shields from JLT cover differently on each side. Oh well. They're on.

The Bwoody parts pull the sway down just enough to get the job done.

Tomorrow I'm hoping to get the driveshaft done and test drive everything.
