Got a little more seat time at the track, chasing a 10.9 slip here in Albuquerque. I was just using straight track mode, car just wasn’t launching without at least a little hesitation. Will hopefully get out another time this fall and run in a custom mode to use the street suspension setting and hope I can get more of a squat at launch. Track elevation here is 5350 and DA was around 6300 for these runs. My car has the standard 2.62 gears and I’m on 275/40r20 ET street SS drag radials on the rear. Otherwise stock with about 1600 miles. Second time at the strip, car seems to have used almost a quart of oil over the past month. It’s my daily driver. 2nd time I’ve been to the track with it. Plenty of spirited street driving too :)

Well I did what I could to break a personal best, unfortunately it didn't go as planned. I pulled my car to 2 different tracks and 2 of the 3 events ended up getting rained out. The only event that didn't got turned into an 1/8th mile event because they were worried about the cold and how it effected the track safety with the high hp guys (someone wrecked the previous day on a track rental). There was delays at the start when a car blew a trans and caused clean up slow downs, and a few rain sprinkles as well. We really didn't get running until around noon, and then couldn't go past 5pm (noise ordinance). Still with all that, I did get a best mph for 1/8th mile. To bad it wasn't 1/4 mile I'd have liked to have gotten that. Might have broken a PB, but hard to say without real data and not just estimated guessing. My 60ft was a bit off my best, but any 1.4x I'm pretty happy with! I was launching around 1800rpm. I noticed somewhere around 1900rpm the car starts to push past the converter, and nudge me forward. Well that's the end of my race season here in the good ol northwest. Time to hold out until March/April. I really need to get a truck and trailer, both the other tracks I traveled to, where not only much lower elevation, but way better setup and not falling apart. This slip is from Pacific Raceways. Same stock setup as before on racestar recluse's with 305s.

Congrats on the PB. Your time has been added. Now the fun part is trying to beat your PB. This is when it becomes addicting.

Sorry your season is over.
I'm lucky so far this weekend looks good. From here on it's like a lottery. One day the weather will change and that's it for me too.

Yup I took a big chance at the end of the season, hoping I'd get a least one 1/4 mile run day. Unfortunately it turned out to be one 1/8th mile day. I just wish I could have ran the full 1/4. I was besting my 1/8th by about 1mph (And running faster and faster with each run), which isn't a lot, but when you're going for a PB every little bit counts!! I had to try something though, our local track ended in September!! The track is owned by the county and the managers lease just expired (everyone hated the guy anyway). We might not even have a local track next year, but after looking at 2 other tracks our local track is looking run down and in need of some TLC!

My girlfriend got a job offer right after we got back from western WA state, right by their track. I told her I could try and transfer my job. She didn't want to move just so I could live right next to the track! :ROFLMAO:.

So now that it's down season it's time to relax and wait until next year. Next year might bring better luck!

Good luck to you, I hope the weather holds out for you!

Mine might be ok with living next to the track. Until the non stop roaring of cars on the weekend. LOL
I know how you feel a month ago I entered a race. It ended up being 1/8 mile. I ran it out through the 1/4. I checked my timers in the car and matched my best on 3 out of 4 passes. Sure would be nice to know what it ran. LOL
It looks like I am lucky enough to get another day at the track on Saturday at least. Then we play it week by week. Once the snow hits we are done.😢😢
Hopefully you still have a track next year.
We lost 1 last year 3hrs from me. It reopened with strict times. The closest one to me closed 2wks ago for good. And Sanair where Shirley had a big wreck just won in court. But you can guess that's probably not over.

A new bolt on and a new PB at 10.22 at 133.34
At Napierreville yesterday, with a great DA neg731 and a not as good condition track as we usually see at Napierreville (partially track prep team in vacation)
Fortunately my Redeye was the first car to touch the track yesterday and that that was it.
Everything same on my Redeye except the addition of a Demon AFE cai adapted to my Redeye
I am also happy as I was the first one to run the track, with which I think a very good 60' at 1.438 and this without skinnies , stock weight and stock tune.

Awesome job. As I watched that run I knew it was going to be great. The fact that the timers at the end of the track show every segment is great.

Ok @Maxboost , here is some pictures:
Picture 1 is the result
Picture 2 is what parts we ( Redeye and 2019 Hellcat) have to add and/or modify to our PCV valve system because it not the same as the Demon. The elbow from our OEM intake boot can not be taked out and anyway couldn't fit in the AFE intake boot. So I bought an 5/8 plastic universal elbow from auto parts store and cut 1 end to be flush with the inside diameter of the AFE intake coupler (throttle body/CF AFE boot). I also bought 5/8 heater hose (1 foot). To take off the OEM plastic hose from the OEM intake boot elbow, I gently heat the end of OEM plastic hose with a heat gun protecting any other around parts, with some leather working gloves from over heat and pulled out. Result: the new shortened at 1 end universal 5/8 elbow fit perfectly in in the AFE coupler hole and and the 5/8 heater hose also fit perfectly and very tight over our OEM plastic hose end. Very simple to accomplish. OUFF , it took me an hour without Google translate to write this and 5 minutes to take and recompute the pictures, LOL.
