Yeah but the SRT 392>>truck 6.4

I disagree with the thought that kids nowadays don't want a car like these. I coach high school wrestling and I think there are way more normal red-blooded kids out there still than you all may think! :)

Yeah, I became wiser and realized the reality of towing with a 6.4 in a Ram 2500.

That's why I have a 3500 with a Cummins now.
Yup, I tow nothing and accepted the reality that I'm not even using the 8,700 lb towing capacity my 392 Durango already has.

That's why I'm keeping the DSRT.

I can relate. Didn't tow a thing with my Durango.

Of course, I never drove it, either. That's why I didn't keep it.

Completely agree. My son was 23 when he bought his 2018 challenger 392

Good thinking. Start them off with only a little power at first, then once they master some 500 hp you can let them loose with a 'Cat and another couple of hundred.

Of course, you could also just give them the black key.

I also agree. I met an early 20-something at a cruise yesterday. He had a 2016 SRT Challenger. He said all his buddies want one. He told them to work and save, like he did.

But unfortunately they are the exceptions rather than the rule.

Thankfully, none of those around here.

Then again, we don't have alligators either.

We actually had some guy in town that had one as a pet...indoor pool where he would live..(people actually swam with the thing)..he owned it legally for years but apparently his permit expired and the authorities confiscated it...

I used mine to haul items for my church's garage sale. I transported a large flat screen tv, 4 heavy duty steel lounge chairs, and a gaming system.

My Durango 392 does everything I want it to. That's why it's a keeper.

Young people today are driving minivans with more power than many "muscle" cars had back in the day.

Take for example the Honda Odyssey. It makes 280 hp net hp, which is the equivalent of ~350 60's era gross hp.

The van does 0-60 in 6.5 sec and the quarter in the low 15's. That matches/beats a bunch of the V8 "muscle" cars of yesteryear.

We actually had some guy in town that had one (alligator) as a pet...indoor pool where he would live..(people actually swam with the thing)..he owned it legally for years but apparently his permit expired and the authorities confiscated it...
Well, any "pet" that sees people as food that can easily take them out should be banned. Common sense people ...

Yeah, I never thought about it that way and was surprised to read than a V6 Challenger is quicker than many of the old muscle cars.

Had a '91 GM pickup with a 454 which produced a whopping 225 hp.

That's what I go by.

I don't give a damn about resale values, what other people think of them, or...

If I like them and have fun with them, that's all I care about.
