My 22' SS is the same. 2,200 miles and when you restart after some spirited drive, it's a slow crank but always start. I was also told know issue and it it starts, move on. Never had it not.

My wife's 18 DSRT did this so maybe not exclusively sc cars. Occasionally slow start after warm. We also thought it was the battery at first.

My 2015 hc has never done it, before or after 2x pumps install and 18+ fuel rails/pres sens.

can't say it's the same issue, but the early '09 Challenger SRT8's had the wrong negative battery cable installed [they had the SXT/RT cable]. believe it was blamed on trim-level confusion, caused a similar warm/hot start issue. Solution was replacing the neg bat cable, and swapping the battery for a higher amp model

edit: I eventually tossed the OEM cable [damn things kept falling apart], and replaced it with an old-fashioned fat hunk of wound copper. much heavier, but never failed again

Sorry to hear you're having these issues. I have a 23 charger redeye with the same issues. It's got nothing to do with the battery. Stellantis have been working on my car for the past 6 months now with no resolution. Happens only on hot starts. This is common apparently and they still haven't found a fix for it.
Not surprised...the "all new"..engineering group has trouble finding their ass...with a road map I hear...

Hi folks!

Thanks for the replies! I have recently put in new fuel with higher octane, and I will also change the battery to a new one. Hopefully this will solve this problem. I will update you guys with the result.

Glad to hear you are still with us! I was getting worried! :ROFLMAO:

Did you drain/run out the old fuel before refilling?

Hi folks!

I have most likely solved the problem, and the problem was the battery. I put new battery in and it starts just fine. I tested the old battery that was in the car and it showed out to be at 60% (with a mark that said "Charge now"). Because of the weather in Sweden isn't really that predictable during summer time, I can't drive the car every day and really test the battery, but I will update you guys after a while.

I am having the same problem. Starting cold, no problem, but hot, barely starts. Our climate is a bit warmer, in the summer time. I have an oil change scheduled in a few weeks, the battery will be checked out...
Went to my friendly Ram dealer for my 6-month oil/filter change. Had them check the battery, the technician said the battery was bad, The batteries must be getting worse, my Redeye is only 1 1/2 years old. Now, new battery all is good, warm day, in the 90's and started right up when hot, problem solved.

Hi folks!

I have a problem with starting my Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye (2019) when its hot. When the car is cold, then it starts fine and well, but when the engine is hot, then it struggles to start. The car has just gone over 10.000 km and I have no clue of what the problem can be. Has anyone had a similar problem like this before, and any possible solutions of what it can be?

Thanks!

Iggy
I have the same exact problem with my 2020. Extended crank when hot after it’s been sitting for about an hour. No check engine lights and runs and idles fine after it starts.
