wow, break in is gonna be a PIA too, I’m seriously thinking about where to travel or something to make it quicker, although I’ve read permanent speed on highway isn’t very good for break in.
I can bet you that the mexican dealer won’t even mention the break in period and if I ask they will say it’s not necessary and they haven’t heard of it . I’ll ask when I receive the car and let you know.

To me it's the gear (diff) break-in that's most important, having had bad luck with FCA setups.
That means 20-25 miles at low speeds, let it cool off, another 20-25, and so on. A real pain, but worth it to me.

You at least have a town that slows you down. My closest one is 10 miles away, and I am not used to being passed on that stretch.

Which reminds me...I'm overdue for my first oil change. Ooops.

I believe IA is a major, central US hub all cars go through for routing to southern and western travel.

Mine should be in Saltillo on monday, it’s officially on mexican territory, I should be able to see it in about 10 days give or take.

Rolled into OKC this morning. Date of arrival at Houston yard moved back to Wednesday. Then probably a week or so to unload, sorting and delivery to dealer is my best guess.

Looks like the two of you are close.

I'm out of the race. Should call today and see if it's back in D again, or if they have thoughts about starting assembly.
That rapid last order sure spoiled me.

Your current wait time does not point to positive signs regarding all things Trackhawk. The only positive would be that they have built so many that they ran out of parts to fulfill orders, which would incur a wait; we all know that isn't happening. There is a rare Green Metallic one near me pretty close to what I would order, the color intrigues me! But it's still too much cheddar and the gas mileage would really blow for my 100 mile round trip commute.

I did call, and it's still waiting for parts, apparently. As you pointed out, it can't be cause they're selling so many of them.

It's more likely, I think, that they're working on solving some defect, but I haven't heard about anything along those lines.

Anyway, I was positively surprised when averaging almost 17 mpg over two fill-ups with mine when going to Utah. That's obviously with meaningful elevation changes, plus my normal 75-85 mph cruising speed and much full throttle passing.

My cat made it to Saltillo on the train today, seems like it will take about 3 days to the plant to invoice the car to the dealership and then about a week to arrive here.

Congrats!! Seems like mine will be at the dealership on thursday, I will probably will be receiving it on thursday! It was finally invoiced today, with border reduced taxes and Chrysler supplier discount, my fully loaded WBHC cost me about 68k with no power dollars. Gotta love those prices!
