Well here is what's going to happen
1. Speedy says he will be happy and is done at this power level
2. Speedy races in 100 degree Kentucky heat
3. Speedy sees high aircharge and manifold temps in his logs
4. Speedy puts a 100 shot of nos on his car
5. Speedy gets addicted to nos and orders a 250 shot
6. Speedy then goes 8s
7. Then says will it really take that much more for 7s

He's not wrong though!! haha. Doing my best to stay away from the NOS. that damn elusive 8 second pass is killing me though.

You’ll get it! I ended up getting really mad one day when I ran a 9.1. Went home looked everything over and found an issue. Went out the next week ran a 9.0 but my 60ft was crap (for me) a 1.36. So I went to make another pass. Found a better 60 and then 8s. I then made a few other 8 second passes before putting the car up.
hard part is once you hit 8s now where do you go?

I did video of the rebuild and install on the car but I might be changing up how I do Youtube. How to stuff I'm thinking of making only available to "members" of the channel rather than just joe public. Racing and other random stuff will remain public.

I tried to find a way to only make my how to content available to "subscribers" but Youtube doesn't support that. Members is the only way to do it so people would have to actually join the channel for a monthly fee to see those videos. I've turned it on and set it to cheap, like the price of a gallon of premium fuel cheap, but I'm still noodling on how to use it.

What do you guys think? I could care less about the $3.99 but I get way too many people that watch the how to stuff, ask me all kinds of questions, but can't be bothered to subscribe. I'd prefer to weed that out if possible.
As far as I am aware, that's really the only way to make it happen. It's you're content and work product - do what you like with it. Particularly if they will pick your brain, use up time, and then not even subscribe to help you keep the lights on on the channel.

Just need the right DA when close. My 9.12 was in 525 DA. If I was running in Texas in the winter when it is -1000+ DA would be easy

Yup I think we have the right setup in it now. still shifting at about 6500 in first and 6700 thereafter. I've been battling traction issues for months because of poorly prepped or no prep at my local track. Got some tire shake pretty bad on Saturday with the new 15's on bad prep. Ran Cecil on Sunday with great prep and 48 degree air. left pretty soft and cut a 1.4 but still ran a 9.1 at 152. right there with a low 1.3 I would have had my number. The next pass we opened the throttle a little earlier but I got too hard on the launch and exploded a demon axle. likely hurt from Saturdays wheel hop escapade.

Yeah buddy wish I would have been smarter and not tried the no prep Saturday and would have most likely had my number on Sunday with the awesome air we had. I'm very confident even at the 4650-4700lbs my car is we will hit the number the next time out.

Don't hear of many Demon axles failing. Yours may be the first I've actually heard of.

But I do believe that the real cause if this breakage was due to some very violent wheel hop at a no prep event the day before.

Cage is probably the weak link on any axle, some more than others. Years ago I broke a DSS 1400HP axle, and it was the cage that shattered. They replaced it no questions asked and said they had gotten a batch with the wrong metal used for the cage. Whatever was used was more brittle than spec.

My thought is you never have wheel hop they will last a long time. The hop I had right after putting a pulley on mine would have destroyed both axles if they would have been stock. Jon had a little wheel hop and broke his in the diff. Sheared the shaft off

Maybe not for you, I'm probably qualified/capable of replacing the CAI and then I'm at a hard stop. Plus there are ZERO shops around here that would be of assistance. Been looking for 2 months now for a shop to do some upgrades to the Durango & still no joy.

I think if you did the fuel line mods Ive been suggesting your current fuel delivery system would keep up without going to a BAP. Mine keeps up to much more No BAP . Yes, my injectors are bigger but fuel flow is fuel flow to the injectors the pumps have no idea how big they are. My fuel pressure is set at 73 psi and the twin 295’s no BAP keep up with that with a bit of pump duty cycle left to spare. Could probably go to 75-76 psi but there’s no need to as I have injector DC left to spare yet because of their size. I’m pushing at times over 24 psi and 2350 Aircharge and I don’t think my pump DC has been over 85% yet. This was just in negative 1100 DA, last hurrah of the year, spin city due to cold roads but still managed 5.50 60-130 times and a 11.3 at 143 1/4 with a super shitty no grip 2.2 60 ft (M6 remember so having a trans/engine tune to help launching is all in 2 feet unfortunately not PCM and TCM) Its winter, send me your fuel rails I’ll do them for free and you take care of the restrictions in the beginning and end of the fuel line by tank to engine bay and I bet you end up with pump to spare again. Or your money back lol.
