Does that hood require hood pins?

It is recommended by the Manufacturer however this has a metal structure and the inserts are in metal. The guy I got it from runs it without pins and races as well as long trips to shows, so I'm going to go without them first.

Who's the mfg of that hood..it looks super..any flaws in the CF anywhere?

VIS is the manufacturer - It has perfect mat, very straight. UV clear is deep, even no bubbles or distortion when looking across it.
