I've had this fancy Wiles driveshaft sitting out in the garage for about 9 months so I unboxed it tonight for a weigh in.
20.6 lbs. VS. the 37.5 lb. stocker.
has anybody run theirs and care to post results? Mine went 10.57@132 1.60 60ft first day out at 545 miles. May 12th 2021.
Has since been 10.41@130 with a 1.49 60ft around Aug 6th maybe.... hot humid, car was warm....

I have a lot of times in my thread. 10.41 @ 130 with a 1.49 sixty is pretty good a hot humid day with the car warmed up. Cool the motor down and that is good for a tenth at least. Not sure if you have weight reduction like me but that 130 is going to be 135 or 136 with a cooldown and cold weather. Car is going to fly........And it's getting faster by those numbers..........
I guess I'll start then.
My plan for my SS is to get the car to ET as quick as I can without tuning and go from there.
This is going to involve weight reduction.
So far I have purchased the Billet Specialties Win Light drag pack wheel set up.
Front is a 18X5 and weighs 14.2 lbs.
Rear is a 17X10 non bead lock and weighs 17.2 lbs.
If your local track has a scale please post up your race weight with the ET. We all post our ET data but we usually don't include race weight which helps us compare what our cars should can/should run, etc.
I had time to get out in the SS yesterday and get some more miles on it. We drove in a big, roughly hundred mile circle. Rides good, runs good, no check engine light(yet..lol). It's at about 350 miles now. I'm hoping to get it out today for some more miles.
I do know that it hauls pizza from Papa Murphy's to my house every bit as well as either of me RE's did.
I'll try to get by the coop on Monday to get a base stock weight for it. IF all goes well I hope to install the DIRS and my street Drag Pak and go make a few runs at Music City Tuesday evening.
Plus package, Driver convenience group, Leather, red seat belts(granddaughter thinks those are great), perf spoiler.
I ordered it identical to my '19 RE but without the sunroof.
The idea was to have a nicely optioned car that isn't much heavier than a base cloth car.

Nate,
I hope since we will be a smaller group that collectively we'll get it that overall weight of a car has a great deal to do with performance. I'm going to try to keep up with the starting line weight of mine as I run it. If others do the same we can sort of develop an "expected" weight when we're in race trim. The Demon group took the time to do that and IMO it makes it easier to understand one guys "hero run" versus another guys hero run.
Interesting observations today while test fitting my Weld front skinnies... The stock 18x11 wheel with OEM NT05R tire weighs 60 lbs! I was guessing approx 55 lbs based on Demon wheels weighing ~22 lbs and Nitto NT05R weighing 33 per their specs. (btw yes I know my wheels are dirty)
Also, I could not find a part number on the Super Stock wheel anywhere... On the Demon wheel, the part number is stamped right near the hub surface.
And finally, the 2021 Super Stock gets the same Demon calipers, while the 2020 Super Stock has a basic Scat Pack caliper as I understand. Also, 2021 has non-slotted rotors, but 2020's were slotted.
I would be curious if anyone knows a paint code that would match up to the granite gray wheels. I have some Demon wheels on the way and I want them powdercoated or painted to match. The Demon wheels will be for a "factory appearing" drag pack, while the Welds will be for all out personal best goals.
Curious why you ordered the HK audio as that puts the heavy subwoofer box in the trunk floor pan? I mean it does sound good, much better than the Apline audio setup.
Boosted,
The color on the SS wheel looks a lot like the color on the '19 Devils rim my RE came stock with. I found a powder coat color that's very close to that. I still have two of those rims. I'll get one out and compare it with my SS wheels. If they're as close as I think I can get you the powder number pretty easily.
On a different note, I got mine out for some more miles yesterday. It's just over 400 right now. If today goes well I'll get another 75 or so on it. This will make it so that I might be able to make it to Music City tomorrow evening with around ~550 miles on it.
